Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) program is of two years duration with an annual intake of 40 (forty) of one basic unit. The course is recognition by the National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE). [M.P.Ed- (Addl.Course)/2015/34160]

The Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) two years (Four Semesters, Choice Based Credit System) programme is a professional programme meant for preparing Physical Education Teachers for senior secondary (Class XI and XII) level as well as Assistant Professor/ Directors/ Sports Officers in Colleges/ Universities and teacher educators in College of Physical Education.

The M.P.Ed. Programme is designed to integrate the study of childhood, social context of Physical Education, subject knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, aim of Physical Education and communication skills. The programme comprises of compulsory and optional theory as well as practical courses and compulsory school internship in School/ College/ Sports Organizations/ Sports Academy/ Sports Club.

Written Test- 50 Marks

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) will be in the written test and will be as on the syllabus of B.P.Ed. The mode will be offline and the instructions will be delivered after publishing the provisional merit list through contact no./ email id.

Viva - 10 Marks

A viva will be commenced right after the written test. The schedule will be given through contact no./ email id.

Fees Structure 2026

The total fee for all four semesters of the M.P.Ed programme is Rs. 70,950.00 (Rupees Seventy Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty only).
