Application to Ph.D. Programme in Science (2024-2025)

Online applications are invited in prescribed form (available on college website www.panskurabanamalicollege.ac.in) for admission to Ph.D. Programme in Science, 2024-25 under Research Centre in Science, Panskura Banamali College (Autonomous) affiliated to Vidyasagar University in the subjects with intake capacity Physics (06), Chemistry (06), Mathematics (07), Zoology (03), Geography (04) and Botany (02).

Application shall be made on online within the stipulated date in the prescribed from along with self-attested copies of testimonials of the candidate.

1. A 1 year / 2 semester master's degree programme after a 4 year / 8-semester bachelor's degree programme; or a 2 year/4 semester master's degree programme after a 3 year bachelor's degree programme; or qualifications declared equivalent to the master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale.
2. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates per the decision of the UGC from time to time.
3. Candidates qualified in the UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/ GATE/ CEED and similar national level test eligible to appear at the interview.
4. The candidate is not currently admitted as a student in any full-time course of studies or registered for pursuing Ph.D. in any university / institute may apply for admission.
