B.P.Ed is two years teacher training programme under the recognition of NCTE [B.P.Ed. (Revised order)/2015/32320], consists of four semesters. B.P.Ed programme meant for preparing teachers of physical education in classes VI to X and for conducting physical education and sports activities in classes XI and XII.

B.P.Ed programme in our institute designed to integrate the study of childhood, social context of Physical Education, subject knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, aim of Physical Education and communication skills. The B.P.Ed programme comprises of compulsory and optional theory as well as practical courses and compulsory school internship.

The intake of candidate for B.P.Ed is 50(fifty) for the session 2026-2028. The reservation of seats will be as per the norms of Vidyasagar University (affiliating body).
