“Theoretical High Energy Physics”

Total number of seats:

A maximum of 02 Ph.D. students may be accommodated with reservations as per West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (reservation in admission) Rules, 2013.

Eligibility:

• 55% Marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade in Physics/Electronics/Material Science at Master’s level Degree from a UGC recognized University / Institution.
• 5% Relaxation of marks or an equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled candidates.
• Applicants having valid UGC/CSIR (JRF) / NET / SET / GATE / DST INSPIRE Fellowship.

The allocation of supervisor for a selected student shall be decided by the Departmental Ph.D. Committee, depending on the available specialization among the faculty supervisor, the research interest of the students as indicated during the interview by the student. The decision of the Departmental Ph.D. Committee will be final under all circumstances. Candidates must present all self-attested documents along with the original documents at the time of the interview.

Note: Institute will not provide any financial assistance to the students pursuing their Ph.D studies.
