1. A Candidate can apply for as many subjects as he chooses. Students who passed H.S./equivalent Examinations before 2025 cannot apply.

b) For any clarifications regarding the procedure for filling out the application forms, applicants may contact the admissions office via email at admission@rkmrc.in. Alternatively, they may attempt to reach 8981395656 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on working days. Kindly note that this mobile number will not be available after the publication of the merit lists.
3. Please note that the selection of candidates across the different subjects will be determined exclusively by their performance in the written examination, with the exception of Bengali, Philosophy and Sanskrit (refer to Table 12 for details).

Note: (a) Aggregate marks shall be computed by adding the marks of the top-five subjects (in case of West Bengal Council) and the top-four subjects (in case of other boards including CBSE and ISC), in order of the marks secured by a candidate.
(b) Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. However, if the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
(c) There will be a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate & subject score (wherever applicable) for SC/ST candidates.
a) Date: 8 May 2026 (10.00 a.m.) to 12 June 2026 (10.00 p.m.)
b) Applicant should carefully keep with him the Admit Card generated through the college admission web portal. This may be required at different stages of the admission process and even during the actual time of arrival at the hostel if selected / admitted.
a) Applicants are required to upload a recent passport size
photograph & signature
(JPG format, file size < 100 kb).
c) No Candidate will be allowed to take the admission test without production of the Admit Card.
Reservation Policy for admission in the degree courses of studies shall be guided by the West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission), Act, 2013 and the West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2014.

(a) There will be no written admission test for Bengali, Philosophy and Sanskrit; only an oral interview (viva) will be conducted.
(B) Students from all academic disciplines are eligible to apply for programmes in History, Philosophy, Political Science and Sanskrit.

a) While completing the online application form, candidates must select a specific examination centre at which they intend to appear for the test. It is mandatory for candidates to report to their chosen centre on the day of the examination.
b) ST Candidates from all the states across the country excepting West Bengal may be allowed to appear for online interview in case they find it difficult to appear for the written test physically. In those cases, candidates have to send email to admission@rkmrc.in expressing their willingness to appear for an online viva voce. The mail should be sent by 10 June 2026.
c) As the entrance examinations for certain subjects are scheduled to be held concurrently, applicants who have opted for such subject combinations are required to report to the Principal or the designated authority in charge of the Examination Centre at least thirty minutes prior to the commencement of the examinations. An alternative schedule will be arranged for their second subject.
d) Accommodation facility only for the candidates may be considered exclusively for candidates travelling from distant or outstation locations for the purpose of appearing in the Admission Test. Candidates desirous of availing themselves of this facility are required to send an email to admission@rkmrc.in , clearly mentioning their place of residence. Please note that the provision of accommodation is subject to availability and shall be granted solely at the discretion of the College Authority.
All applicants are required to select two Minor subjects, one from each pool, as indicated in the table below.

Duration of test for written Examination: 2 hours
Scientific calculator can be used for the entrance test in Physics and Chemistry.
However, for other subjects use of calculator is not permitted during the exam.
List for provisional selection will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Admission Test/Viva (except for Mathematics) of their respective subjects only.
