• This is the Admission Notice to the two-year M.A. Programme offered by the University of Calcutta in the academic session 2026-27 to be pursued after completion of three years Honours / Major in English.
• There will be another course of PG (one year), which will happen as lateral entry in the second year of PG Program for students intending to pursue after 4 (Four) years UG Honours with Research/Major in Single Subject (English) Degree course under CCF System (Details to be provided Later)
• St. Paul’s Cathedral Mission College is a Christian Minority Institution and is outside the Central Admission Portal of PG Admission under the University of Calcutta. Most other instructions of CU including course content, examination schedules and evaluation are followed by this college.
• The application form will be available through the college website (www.spcmc.ac.in).
• An Application Fee of Rs. 200/- will be charged for the submission of Application Form.
• Application forms will be available online from 10:00 AM on and from 28/05/2026, and the last date of submission of online forms is 18/06/2026, till 11:59 PM.
• Application forms should be filled with due care and attention. Any incorrect or false data will result in rejection of the application.
• All admission will be based strictly on merit points generated after qualifying in the test.
• The physical verification of documents, if required, will be conducted later on, depending upon favourable situation and a notice for that will be given in the College website. If, during this verification, any discrepancy is found, the candidate’s admission is liable to be cancelled.
• Payment of Admission fees should be done only through electronic mode as specified in the College website in due course. Candidates need not require coming physically to the College for payment of fees.
• Classes of first semester PG programme most likely to begin in August 2026.
• Candidates are requested to regularly follow the website for all announcements.
• Each applicant is required to upload the following documents along with the application form:
  • Age Proof (Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination or Birth certificate)
  • Identity proof – Aadhar Card
  • Caste Certificate – SC/ST/OBC (Candidate with valid SC/ST certificate of State WB will only be considered)
  • Christian candidate needs to produce Baptism certificate and a letter of recommendation from Priest.
  • Marksheets of all five semesters. The sixth semester marksheet with the CGPA score will be called for later.
  • Mark sheet of Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
  • Photo
• Refund of permissible fees will be given to candidates who cancel their admission.
