Applications are invited for admission to various Undergraduate Courses at St. Xavier’s College, Burdwan, for the academic session 2026-2027. Prospective candidates are requested to note the following guidelines:

The admission process will be conducted through two distinct modes. Please read the eligibility criteria, and instructions before filling up of forms. Applicants are strictly advised not to mix the two processes:

• OFFLINE MODE: Offline application (Physical) forms will be available for distribution at the College Office starting from May 5, 2026. Application Fee: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) per form.
• ONLINE MODE: The Online Application Portal will open shortly on the college website. Candidates may apply directly through the official college link. Candidates are advised to regularly monitor the official college website (www.sxcb.edu.in) for the latest updates and the activation of the online portal. Ensure all data entered is accurate; discrepancies may lead to the cancellation of the application. Application Fee: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) per form.

Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026. No student shall be admitted after a lapse of more than three years from the year of passing.

All international students must apply only via the Study in India Portal of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

N.B: As per G.O. No. 265-Edn (CS)/ OM102L/2022 dated 24/04/23, St. Xavier’s College, Burdwan, being a Religious Minority Institution, is exempt from the Centralised Admission Portal of the Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal. Furthermore, the college is outside the purview of the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted at the state or university level.
