Private Secretary Grade-I Recruitment Examination 2026

On-line Applications with separate fee are invited from eligible candidate to fill up the post of Private Secretary Grade-I in the Establishment of High Court, Allahabad under The Allahabad High Court Private Secretaries (Condition of Service) Rules, 2001 (as amended from time to time) and orders as issued by Hon'ble The Chief Justice from time to time in this regard:

AND Good Knowledge of English Shorthand and typewriting with minimum speed of 100 and 40 words per minute, respectively. AND Knowledge of Data Entry, Word Processing and Computer Operations.

The number of vacancies in each category may increase or decrease. Vertical reservation for S.C., S.T. and O.B.C. of U.P. and Horizontal reservation as per rules shall be applicable. Maximum age limit shall in the case of candidates of the S.C., S.T. & other categories candidates of U.P. be enhanced as per applicable rules.

Fee for General (Unreserved) and OBC category candidates for each post shall be Rs. 1,900/- (bank charges extra) and the fee for SC/ST/E.W.S. category of Uttar Pradesh for each post shall be Rs. 1,700/- (bank charges extra). The candidates belonging to the Horizontal category shall have to pay fees according to their original category.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications
The applicant must possess following essential educational qualification/Computer Qualifications for the post of Private Secretary Grade-I on the closing date of submission of the On-line Application Form:

Private Secretary Grade-I	Bachelor’s Degree from a University established by Law in India OR A Qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. AND Good Knowledge of English Shorthand and typewriting with minimum speed of 100 and 40 words per minute, respectively. AND Knowledge of Data Entry, Word Processing and Computer Operations.

Preferential Qualification
As per Rule 4-F of The Allahabad High Court Private Secretaries (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2001 and its subsequent amendments (as amended from time to time),
A candidate:
(i) Who has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years
Or
(ii) Who has obtained a 'B' Certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) shall, other thing being equal be given preference.

Note: (1) Candidates belonging to reserved category shall have to pay requisite fee according to their respective category. SC/ST/EWS of States/UTs other than Uttar Pradesh shall have to pay fee as prescribed for General (Unreserved)/OBC category candidates. The candidates seeking horizontal reservation shall have to pay fees according to their Vertical category. (2)Applicable service/processing charges and other charges over and above the Examination Fee, are payable by the candidate to the concerned Bank.
