The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been conducting All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) since 2019, on behalf of Ministry of Ayush/NCISM/NCH with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

For the Academic Session 2026-27, NTA is inviting online application for All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AIAPGET) 2026 for admission to Postgraduate ASU & H Courses. The examination will serve as the common entrance test for admission to All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota seats of MD/MS programmes in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy offered by all ASU & H Colleges, Institutions, Universities and Deemed Universities across the country.

The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The duration of the examination will be 120 minutes, comprising 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying a maximum of 480 marks. The examination will be conducted in approximately 122 cities across the country, the list of which is placed at Annexure-1 .

Candidates are required to submit the Application Form only through the online mode by visiting the official website https://exams.nta.nic.in/aiapget Before submitting the Application Form, candidates are advised to carefully read the Information Bulletin and ensure that they fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions, including educational qualifications, completion of internship, registration requirements, reservation criteria and other applicable provisions. Mere submission of the Application Form or appearance in AIAPGET-2026 does not confer any right to admission. Eligibility shall be verified by the concerned counselling/admitting authority at the appropriate stage.

To further strengthen the security, transparency and integrity of the examination process, the following initiatives have been introduced in AIAPGET-2026:

Aadhaar-based Authentication: Candidates are encouraged to authenticate themselves through Aadhaar while submitting the Application Form. They are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar details, including photograph and demographic information, are updated as per UIDAI records. NTA reserves the right to verify the identity and credentials of the candidate at any stage of the admission process.
Live Photograph Capture: In addition to uploading a passport-size photograph, candidates will also be required to capture a live photograph during submission of the Application Form. The live photograph shall also appear on the Admit Card and Score Card. Candidates should ensure proper lighting, a plain light-coloured background and clear visibility of the face (including ears, without mask). Where webcam support is unavailable, the system will facilitate capture through a mobile device using a QR Code.
UDID-based Verification for PwD/PwBD Candidates: Candidates claiming reservation under the PwD/PwBD category and possessing a Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card shall upload the same. The details shall be verified through the portal of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Candidates not possessing a UDID Card shall upload a valid Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, which may also be verified from the issuing authority.

The Examination Fee is to be paid only through the prescribed online payment modes. Candidates are advised to download and retain the Confirmation Page and proof of fee payment for future reference. Only one Application Form shall be accepted from a candidate. Submission of multiple Application Forms may lead to rejection of candidature.

Candidates are also advised to keep the following points in mind while applying:

Ensure that the uploaded photograph, live photograph and signature are clear and as per the prescribed specifications.
Carefully select the preferred Examination Cities while filling the Application Form, as changes may not be permitted after the Correction Window.
Keep a valid e-mail address and mobile number active throughout the admission process for receiving important communications from NTA.
Candidates are advised to submit the Application Form well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute technical issues or heavy traffic on the website.

Note:

An applicant can apply for payment through net-banking / debit / credit card / UPI.
Service charges of the concerned Bank / Payment Gateway Integrator, as applicable, will be borne by the candidate.
Applicants are advised to read Payment instructions carefully before paying the application fee.

The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI Services. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the Examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator. Syllabus

The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subject’s/knowledge areas as per the Graduate Level Education Regulations of respective discipline issued by NCISM/NCH. Kindly refer to the NCISM/NCH website for complete syllabus.

Marking Scheme

Each question carries 04 (four) marks.
For each correct response, candidate will get 04 (four) marks.
For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.
Un-answered/un-attempted questions will be given no marks.
To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose the most appropriate option.
However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted the question correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks.
In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.
In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.

Eligibility Criteria for AIAPGET-2026

Candidates must possess a BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS/Graded BHMS Degree or Provisional Pass Certificate recognized under the relevant provisions of NCISM/NCH Act (the IMCC 1970/HCC 1973/NCISM 2020/NCH 2020) and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS / BUMS / BSMS / BHMS / Graded BHMS degree qualification issued by the erstwhile CCIM / erstwhile CCH / NCISM / NCH / State / UT Board and have completed one year of internship or/are likely to complete the internship as per the NCISM/NCH notification, may apply for AIAPGET 2026 through Online Application Registration system at website https://exams.nta.ac.in/aiapget
Requests for appearing in AIAPGET 2026 from candidates completing internship after the cut-off date of completion of internship notified in this bulletin or having qualifications that are not recognized by the competent authority shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvass for the same.
The dates indicated by candidates regarding 12 months Compulsory Rotatory Internship i.e. starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotatory Internship completion certificate at the time of counselling.
The cut-off date for completion of internship towards determination of eligibility for appearing in AIAPGET-2026 shall be 31 August, 2026 or such date as may be notified by NCISM/NCH from time to time.
Some of the Universities/Institutions with regulations that candidates who are already pursuing any PG Course in their University or in another University are not eligible for admission till they complete the course. The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota/State quota seats may confirm the eligibility conditions of that University in this regard. NTA/NCISM/NCH shall not be responsible if such candidates are refused admission. Such candidates may opt for the subject and the college at their own risk and cost. The eligibility criteria will be as per NCISM/NCH Act regulations and notifications of Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
There is no upper age limit for the AIAPGET exam. The candidates of any age can apply for the examination.
Candidates must be Indian citizens to be eligible to apply for AIAPGET-2026.
It shall be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria prescribed by NCISM/NCH. Mere appearance in the examination or inclusion in the merit list shall not confer any right for admission.
The eligibility of a candidate is purely provisional at all stages. Merely appearing in AIAPGET-2026, qualifying the examination, inclusion in the merit list, participation in counselling, allotment of seat, or admission to an institution shall not confer any right upon the candidate. If any information furnished by the candidate is found to be false, fabricated, suppressed, or ineligible at any stage before or after admission, the candidature/admission shall be cancelled and appropriate action shall be taken in accordance with the applicable rules, including the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, wherever applicable.
