Eligibility Criteria
In compliance with the recent directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the Bar Council of India (BCI) rules, this notification provides updated guidelines for Registration for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE-XX) for the following categories of candidates, who must be studying at or have passed out of BCI-recognised Universities and/or BCI-approved Colleges that are affiliated with BCI-recognised Universities:
  • Eligibility of Final-Year Law Students (Without Backlogs):
    Candidates currently in their final semester of a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree course, studying at a BCI-recognised University or a College approved by the BCI and affiliated with a BCI-recognised University, are eligible to register for AIBE. These candidates must have no backlogs from previous semesters to qualify.
  • Eligibility of Law Graduates Who Have Not Obtained Their Degree
    LL.B. graduates (3-year or 5-year course) who have passed out from BCI-recognised Universities or a College approved by the BCI and affiliated with a BCI-recognised University, but who have not yet obtained their degree are also eligible to apply for AIBE. This includes graduates who have completed their course and are awaiting degree conferral.
  • Eligibility of Graduates Who Have Obtained Their Degree but Have Not Enrolled or Have Surrendered Their Enrolment Certificates:
    Candidates who have obtained their LL.B. degree from a BCI-recognised University or BCI-approved College but have not enrolled with any State Bar Council, as well as those who had enrolled but have surrendered their enrolment certificates, are also eligible to apply.
  • Ineligibility Based on Non-recognition:
    Any candidate, whether currently a student or a graduate, who is studying or has passed out from a university or college that is not recognised/approved by the Bar Council of India, will not be eligible to appear for AIBE. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure their educational institution is duly recognised by the BCI.
Candidates fulfilling these conditions can register for AIBE-XX starting from 29th September 2025. The following undertaking and self-attested, scanned documentation must be submitted during Registration.
Payment of Fees
Notification – Examination Fee for All India Bar Examination (AIBE)
This is to inform all candidates applying for the upcoming All India Bar Examination (AIBE) that the examination fee has been fixed as follows:
- General / OBC candidates: Rs. 3,500/- (Three thousand five hundred only)
- SC / ST / PWD candidates: Rs. 2,500/- (Two thousand five hundred only)
All candidates are required to make the payment of the prescribed fee at the time of submission of the application form through the authorized payment gateway only.

Note:
The fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Applications without payment of the prescribed fee shall be considered incomplete and will not be processed.
Candidates must retain the payment receipt/transaction ID for future reference.

  • Please Click on Apply Online button first to Register .You shall receive your registration number via SMS/E-Mail.
  • Please check your E-Mail Spam Box, if message is not received in your Inbox.
  • Next Login again by Clicking on Applicant Login button to complete your form submission.
  • Fees is mandatory and applicable for Online Registration for all Candidates.
  • Do not share your Applicant Login and Password with anyone.Candidates will be responsible for maintaining the privacy of their login credentials.
  • For security reasons, always click on the LOGOUT button and close all windows related to your session before you exit the website.
  • Caution: Your IP address is being recorded and monitored for security purpose.
