ARCH College of Design & Business performs AIEED screenings for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Design courses. AIEED was launched in the year 2010 with interactive components designed to help assess abilities and the attitude of aspirants for careers in Design and since then ARCH conducts it every year as a process to select students for the various courses at the college.

Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate (UG) Level Courses
Students who have Appeared for/ or Cleared Class 10+2 (CBSE/ICSE/IB/State Board/NIOS or equivalent as per UGC Guidelines) are eligible to participate in the AIEED Screening for Design Studies. Class 10+1 Students can also participate in the AIEED 2026 process, and qualifying students will be eligible for direct admission in the academic year 2027 after submission of an updated PoA and clearing the Counselling interaction stage.

Postgraduate Level Courses
Graduates or students in any discipline from a recognised university, who have completed or are completing final graduation in 2026, can apply for these courses.

Intent of Entrance Screening for Design Studies

This ‘Screening for Design Studies’ and its parts and stages will in actuality enable you to give us A COMPLETE INTRODUCTION TO YOURSELF, and in the process, help us discover the real you - We want to know WHO YOU ARE as against ‘How good your skills are ….’

We are VERY INTERESTED in HOW you THINK. In your Attitude and Approach towards the world that surrounds you. Not so much in your knowledge, but more in your Openness to Learn; your Perseverance, Focus and Toughness to take on challenges in the process of Creative Problem Solving. AND your ability to SURVIVE sanely in a creative environment!

We want potentially introspective and thinking aspirants with the right spirit and attitude to take up Design as a responsible profession.

The Complete Process of Screening for Design Studies is aimed at examining

‘ATTITUDE’ as against the existing, overly measured, ‘APTITUDE’. It will evaluate and assess:
Psychological Consonance and Endowments for Design e.g. Empathy, creativity, toughness, Openness, Perseverance & Focus, Sense of Humour / appreciation of humour / connections etc.
COMPREHENSION & COMMUNICATION SKILL – in the broadest all-encompassing sense – Visual, Verbal, Conceptual, Interpersonal, Transactional

Here's a brief OVERVIEW of the Format of the AIEED 2026 SCREENING for Design Studies.

Applying to ARCH is a 1-2-3-4-5 steps experience.

- Step 1/Stage 1: Fill and submit your completed online AIEED Application Form.

- Step 2/Stage 2: Submission by uploading the two important components - Portfolio of Abilities (PoA) and Statement of Purpose (SoP). Detailed guidelines will be found in your Application Panel after login. At this time you are also required to block your date for Online Interaction & Counselling.

- Step 3/Stage 3: Online Interaction & Counselling with our Expert on the date you blocked.

- Step 4/Stage 4: On Campus Situation Test & Group Discussion on a given Date to assess creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

- Step 5/Stage 5: Result Declaration and offer of admission on same day. On Successful completion and selection for admission, you are required to complete the formalities

The stages and all its parts are mandatory and are monitored and assessed by our admissions panel.

The Application Form fee is INR 3,000/- only, which can be paid by choosing any of the following options-
