The Amrita Common Aptitude Test (Amrita CAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for admission to the MBA programs offered across its Five prestigious campuses - Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Kochi, and Mysuru. Amrita CAT is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, and is designed to assess a candidate’s aptitude in key areas necessary for management education.

Candidates can apply through ACAT 2027 or submit a valid score from CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT, NMAT, or GRE, subject to campus-specific eligibility requirements.

Application Process

Apply Online: Complete the online application form and pay the application fee of Rs. 1,880/- (inclusive of GST). The application fee is non-refundable.
Meet the Eligibility Criteria: Candidates can apply through ACAT 2027 or submit a valid score from CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT, NMAT, or GRE.
Submit Required Documents: Upload all the required documents along with your application. Applications with complete and valid documentation will be considered for the shortlisting process.

Selection Process

Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their academic performance and entrance test scores.
Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates will attend an interview conducted online or offline.
Final Selection: Selected candidates will receive their offer letters via email. Admission is confirmed upon online payment of the prescribed fees within the specified deadline.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold a UG degree under the 10+2+3 pattern, recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 60% in Class 10, Class 12, and undergraduate studies, applicable to all campuses.
Final-year undergraduate students may also apply, provided they complete all examinations and viva-voce, wherever applicable, on or before June 30, 2027. Candidates may apply with the results of their last completed semester.
Candidates must have a valid score or rank in any one of the following entrance examinations: Amrita Common Aptitude Test (ACAT) 2027, CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT, or GRE. Candidates awaiting these examinations may apply using their test registration number.
Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore accepts valid NMAT scores.
The Department of Management at Kochi and Amritapuri (Kollam) accepts valid KMAT scores.

Additional Eligibility for the University at Buffalo MS Program:
Candidates opting for the MBA + MS dual-degree program with the University at Buffalo, offered at the Bengaluru campus, must meet the following additional requirements:

Submit a valid score from one of the approved English Proficiency Tests — TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo English Test — on or before September 30, 2027.
A minimum of 50% marks in all semesters is required for admission to the MS program at the University at Buffalo.

Minimum English Proficiency Score Requirements:

Scores may be submitted as late as March 2028; however, submission after September 30, 2027 may delay admission to the University at Buffalo. Candidates who fail to submit the required English proficiency score by the extended deadline will not be eligible for the MS program or the MS degree.

This English proficiency requirement applies only to the additional MS degree. Failure to meet this requirement will not affect the candidate's MBA admission or progression. Candidates will continue with the MBA program and graduate with the MBA degree.

Scholarship Availability:
First Year: The scholarship will be awarded to the top 10% of the sanctioned intake.
Academic scores from Class 10, Class 12, and undergraduate and performnace in interview will be considered while selecting eligible students for scholarship.
Second Year: The scholarship will be available to students securing a CGPA of 8.5 or above, subject to a maximum of 10% of the sanctioned intake.

Renewal of Scholarship for the Subsequent Year is Subject to the Following Conditions:
- Consistent academic performance with a minimum CGPA of 8.5 in the first year.
- A good conduct certificate issued by the Chairman.
- Clearing each trimester without any arrears.
