The Banasthali University Aptitude Test (BUAT) is an online entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Banasthali Vidyapith, focusing on female candidates. The test assesses aptitude in Physics & Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology (depending on the program), and Logical Reasoning.

Admission to the Banasthali Vidyapith is open to women only.
Admission is open to all women irrespective of their race, religion, caste, colour or domicile.
A student admitted to the Banasthali Vidyapith has to compulsorily join a hostel of the Vidyapith unless the student is a ward of some worker of the Vidyapith and stays with the worker in the campus, or the student belongs to a neighboring village community.
Every student seeking admission to the Banasthali Vidyapith has to submit an application on the prescribed form and pay the requisite application fee by the prescribed date.
(GAT B qualified candidates need not pay application fee. The same will be collected/adjusted from the admitted students.)

Courses Offered

Elementary Education: Nursery to class VIII. Admissions for Nursery to Class Vth are only for Day Scholars (Staff Wards).
Secondary School Certificate (IX & X).
Senior Secondary School Certificate (XI & XII) (Humanities, Sciences and Commerce).

New admissions based on merit cum aptitude test are made only in classes VI and IX. Aptitude Test is scheduled to be held at Banasthali Vidyapith, Delhi and Varanasi Centers on 17th May, 2026.

Admissions to class XI are based on merit of marks of secondary certificate/equivalent examination.

Medium of instruction for school education is Hindi. However we cater to the need of students who want to study in English medium by providing bilingual system - Instructions, Books and Question Papers are in English as well as Hindi.

Limited seats in select courses are available for admission against Foreign Nationals & NRI/NRI sponsored wards. Admission against Foreign Nationals & NRI/NRI sponsored wards is based on merit, without appearing in aptitude test.

Fee Structure:

A one-time hostel admission fee of Rs. 5,000/- shall be charged from all newly admitted students.

The regular students classified in group (1) and (2) respectively shall pay a one time course admission fee Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 5,000/-.

Every student shall deposit a security amount (Refundable) of Rs. 20,000/- and an imprest amount of Rs. 2,500/-.

Other Miscellaneous Charges:
An amount of Rs. 2,000/- for class upto 8th & Rs. 3,000/- for class 9th to 12th shall be charged towards Examination fee, Identity Card fee etc.

Development Fee:
The above students classified in Group (1) and (2) respectively, shall pay the development fee of Rs. 22,000/- and Rs. 16,000/-, respectively, per year.

Foreign/NRI/NRI sponsored Admissions
A limited number of seats are available for Foreign/NRI/NRI sponsored candidates. Admission against these seats are based directly upon the merit and the applicants do not have to appear in the Aptitude Test. The eligibility for Foreign/NRI/NRI sponsored candidates is 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (Except for B.Ed. where it is 50% and M.Ed. where it is 50%).

The following documents are required for admission against Foreign/NRI/NRI sponsored seats:
(i) Original Certificates/ Marksheets of the qualifying examination.
(ii) Attested photocopies of the Passport and Visa of the NRI Sponsor of the applicant.
(iii) Foreign Bank Account Number or NRI Account Number of the NRI applicant or NRI Sponsor of the applicant.
(iv) Declaration regarding, Non-Resident Indian status of the NRI applicant or NRI Sponsor of the applicant.

Re-Admission: If a student is separated from Banasthali or Shri Shantabai Shiksha Kutir and in the event Banasthali Vidyapith decides to readmit her, admission fee of Rs. 5,000/- shall be payable. The admission of a student shall be automatically cancelled due to unauthorized absence of three days or more.

Absence without prior written permission from the Vidyapith shall be treated as unauthorized absence.

The above fee structure shall be applicable to new admissions. Continuing students (those enrolled in an under-graduate or post-graduate course and continuing the same course), shall pay the educational fee as paid by them last year according to 2025-26 fee schedule. Students leaving Class XII and joining an under-graduate programme or completing an under-graduate course and enrolling for a post-graduate shall be treated as new students for the purposes of determining the education fee payable by them.
