Eligibility Criteria
  • Nationality: For admission, the applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO Holder
  • Qualification:

    2 B.Tech. (4-Years) Must have passed 10+2 examination (intermediate) with 60% marks along with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
    For Marine Engg. - Must have passed 10+2 OR equivalent examination with average 60% marks in PCM and 50% marks in English at 10th/12th standard. (Age Should not be more than 21 years as on 31st July 2026)
    3 LE B.Tech. (3-Years) Must have passed Diploma examination with at least 60% marks (55% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in any branch of Engineering and Technology
    Must have passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 60% marks (55% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. However, the students belonging to B.Sc. stream, seeking admission in Mechanical Engineering, shall be required to clear the subjects Engineering Graphics, Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the First Year Engineering Program along with the Second year subjects. Students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered for admission only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with regular students belonging to the diploma stream.
    In the above cases, a suitable bridge Courses, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted.
    For Marine Engg.: Diploma in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics with 60% marks in aggregate
    (with 50% marks in English either at 10th / Diploma)

    Must have passed 1st year Mechanical Engg of 4-years B.Tech. Program with 60% marks in aggregate

    4 M.Tech. Must have passed bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 60% marks in the qualifying exam.
    GATE qualified candidates need not to sit in the entrance examination. They have to submit their documents through the admission portal for direct admission counseling process.
    Must have passed M.Sc. degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
    5 BBA Candidate must have passed +2 from a recognized board or university in any stream with minimum of 50% in aggregate.
    6 MBA Must have passed Bachelor degree of minimum 03years duration. Obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate.
    (45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)
    7 B.Com. Generally, 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks, often with a preference for commerce stream backgrounds.
    8 BCA Candidate must have passed +2 (any stream with Mathematics / Business athematics/Statistics / Diploma Engg.) from a recognized board or universityin any stream with minimum of 60% in aggregate.
    9 MCA Candidate must have passed graduation (any stream with Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics) from a recognized board or university in any stream with minimum of 60% in aggregate.

    17 B.Sc. in Forensic Science Candidates must have passed 10+2 level in Science from any recognized board or university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

    18 M.Sc. in Forensic Science Candidate must have passed Bachelor's Degree in relevant science field like Biology, Chemistry or Forensic science with minimum of 60% in aggregate.
    19 Ph.D. in Forensic Science M.Sc. in any Science subject including Forensic Science
    20 Research Programme Ph.D. Post graduate degree in relevant discipline with 55% of marks or equivalent grade.
    4years / 8 semesters bachelor degree in relevant discipline with 75% marks or equivalent grade.
    A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
    21 Integrated Ph.D. Bachelor's degree (B.Tech. or equivalent) with minimum CGPA of 8.0 from a recognized university/institution.

Process of Filling Up the Application Form:
  • The candidates are required to apply only online as per the procedure detailed below.
    • Candidates can apply through "Online" mode. Before filling up the online form, please read the Information Brochure online or by downloading it from the CGU, Odisha website: www.cgu-odisha.ac.in .
    • The candidates should provide all the authentic details while filling up the online form.
    • Candidates not complying with the instructions shall summarily be disqualified.
  • On submission of details, an Application Number shall be generated.
  • Candidate has to fill the particulars online and also upload his/her photograph and full signature. It is not necessary to send the hard copy of the application.
  • Candidates must retain the print outs of the Computer Generated Application Form as reference for future correspondence.
  • An application must be completed in all respect. Incomplete/unsuccessful submission of application will lead to rejection.
  • Applicant should give options only with respect to Reservation Categories (SC/ST/GC/PWD/EX) that he/she can substantiate the same with documentary evidences during document verification/counseling. There is no provision of uploading any proof of these categories during online registration.

  • Category once filled by the applicant in the application form, cannot be changed afterwards under any circumstances.
  • Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. Multiple applications for a particular stream or in multiple streams of a candidate are liable to be rejected. After submission of an application, options cannot be changed at a later stage.
  • Claim for admission will be rejected if the candidate cannot submit the original certificates, mark sheets, other necessary documents at the time of document verification or if one has filled the form incorrectly.
  • Admission may be cancelled at any time, if certificates/mark sheets/other documents are found to be forged or manipulated. In such case, a candidate will not be considered for admission.
  • Facility of submission of application form will be closed on the last day of filling up online-application form submission. Hence, candidates are required to complete the process within the prescribed duration.
E-TRACKING / MESSAGE TRACKING
Once the candidates submit the application, a message of conrmation will be sent through email to the candidates. Hence, correct Email IDs and contact number should be given.

E-ADMIT CARD
- The e-Admit card will be generated in the student LOGIN portal available in the website.
- The e-Admit card will indicate the Roll Number, Photograph of the student, Test Date and Time.
Examination Procedure / Evaluation Methodology
  • There will be multiple choice type questions.
  • The number of questions will vary as per course applied.
  • Each question shall have four options (including one correct answer) and the examinee shall have to select the appropriate choice.
  • The selected answer is stored/saved temporarily and a candidate may change his/her choice of answer later during the course of examination until it is over.
  • A candidate can change his/her choice as per wish as many times as required before the end of examination and the last selected/ chosen option will be saved finally for evaluation.
  • Detailed instruction regarding steps to be followed by the applicant in the online examination will be notified in the website before the examination.
Result:
Rank List:
  • A rank list will be prepared based on the career percentage & percentile secured.
  • Rank card will be published in the student LOGIN portal available in the website.
  • Candidates are allowed to appear for the entrance examination only once. CGU, Odisha has the right to hold the rank and cancel the candidature of the candidates appearing more than once.
Counselling Procedure:
  • The admission is based on the ranks secured by the applicant in Examination.
  • Applicants have to ll up the counselling form which will be available in the website after publication of rank.
  • CGU, Odisha doesn't have any agent and the payments of course fee will be made in the form of Demand Draft / RTGS / NEFT / UPI / Online Banking. Account details will be provided in the allotment letter as well as will be available in the website.
  • Even after admission, the management reserves all the rights to cancel the candidate's admission, in case of any discrepancy. The decision shall be nal and binding on the candidate. CGU, Odisha cannot be held responsible for any loss/damage arising out of such cancellation of admissions.
  • All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts only at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
