If the objection is found to be valid and is sustained, the said fee will be refunded/remitted in the same account from which it was paid within 10 working days. A candidate for admission to the 2-Year Masters programme should have passed an Undergraduate Degree in any discipline / any other equivalent degree with the following Marks or Equivalent Grade:

Fifty-Five percent (55%) marks in the aggregate of the maximum marks prescribed in the case of candidates belonging to General / BC / EBC / EWS / Especially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories, and
-
Fifty percent (50%) marks in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST category.
The candidate must have passed/appeared in the final semester/final year examination of the qualifying degree on the date of the entrance test. However, the candidate who appeared in the qualifying examination must submit the final result on the date and at the time of admission.
The reservation will be provided as per the Bihar (In Admission in Educational Institutions) Reservation Act, 2003 (No. 16 of 2003) with amendments:

All above mentioned reservations are vertical reservations in nature.
Note: 5% Horizontal reservation shall be applicable for PWD.
* The candidates outside of the State of Bihar shall not claim the benefits of reservation under EWS as per the Bihar Reservation in Vacancies in Posts and in Services and in Admission in the Educational Institutions (For Economically Weaker Sections) Act, 2019. If a candidate from EWS is not available, to the extent of the reservation percentage, the vacant seats under this category shall be filled by candidates of the Unreserved (General) Category only.
** The candidates outside of the State of Bihar are ineligible to claim the benefits of reservation under these categories. The relevant certificate should be issued by the competent authority of the Bihar Government for (1) Extremely Backward Classes (Annexure-I), (2) Backward Classes (Annexure-II), (3) Scheduled Caste (SC) and (4) Scheduled Tribes (ST).
Candidates of Bihar seeking admission under the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category for CNLU, Patna, shall mention in the application form itself whether they belong to the BC or EBC categories of Bihar. Failure to mention the specific category BC/EBC will not entitle them to Reservation benefits, as there is no such category as Other Backward Classes (OBC) in the Bihar Reservation Act, 2003.
*** About Women of Backward Classes (WBC): All women candidates of Reserved Categories (Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Extremely Backward Classes & Backward Classes) of Bihar who will be applicants of the M.Sc. CSDF Programme are hereby requested to fill up their application forms in their own categories. At the time of admission, after filling up all the abovementioned reserved categories seats as per their percentage, reserved seats (02) for WBC (Women of Backward Classes) will be made available to the reserved categories women as per their final merit list among the reserved categories of women of Backward Classes.
Admission to the M.Sc. CSDF programme shall be through an Offline Entrance Examination at the University Campus (Part A – 50 Marks) followed by Personal Interview (Part B – 50 Marks), with a total of 100 Marks. Part A comprises 50 Multiple Choice Questions of one mark each. The entrance examination is designed to assess candidates’ foundational awareness across computer literacy, cyber awareness, legal aptitude, and analytical reasoning. The examination is kept at an accessible level to encourage applications from graduates of all disciplines.

General Instructions:

The CNLU-M.Sc-ET Entrance Test for M.Sc. CSDF, 2026 shall be conducted in OFFLINE mode at the University Campus.

The applications have to be submitted in ONLINE mode only through the University Admissions Portal.

The CNLU-M.Sc-ET Entrance Test is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 13th June, 2026. (Subject to revision in case of necessity). PWD/SAP candidates are eligible for an additional time of 30 minutes.

The candidates are, therefore, advised to go through the rules & regulations and the fee structure of the M.Sc. CSDF course before filling in the application form.

Candidates are advised to visit the CNLU website regularly for updates. The allotment of seats and the offer for admission under CNLU-M.Sc-ET Entrance Test, 2026, shall be provisional.

If more than one candidate secure equal marks in the CNLU-M.Sc-ET Entrance Test, 2026, the break of tie shall be done by the following procedure and order:

Higher marks in the component/section on Logical Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude (Section D) in the CNLU-M.Sc-ET Entrance Test, 2026;

Higher in age;
-
Computerised draw of lots.

The online enrolment for CNLU-M.Sc.-ET Entrance Test 2026 will open on 14th April, 2026 and close on 7th June, 2026.

The application form, complete in all respects and after payment of requisite fee, must be finally submitted on or before 7th June, 2026 (11:59 PM). The candidates shall fill and submit the application form well on time to avoid last-minute hassles. The University shall in no case be responsible for any incomplete information or misinformation or inconvenience faced by the candidate in this regard.
