Admission to UG B.E./B.Tech. and Architecture Courses, 2026-27
Since inception, COMEDK has been conducting its entrance test on the second Sunday of May every year. But because of conflict of date with other national level examination, the schedule had to be altered and UGET-2026 will be conducted on Saturday the 9th May, 2026. The test will be Computer Based and will be conducted on All India basis across the Country to facilitate the students to appear in the test closer to their homes and is aimed at minimizing the cost of travel and other logistics.
A detailed calendar of events and the Information Brochure along with eligibility criteria in this behalf would be hosted on the website (www.comedk.org) in due course. The candidates are required to check the website for all the updates. It may be noted that "www.comedk.org" is the only official website of the Consortium and COMEDK is not responsible for information available on other websites/elsewhere.

Candidates who are Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India* (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin* (PIO) can appear for the COMEDK UGET 2026 entrance examination.

To be eligible candidates have to appear for the COMEDK entrance exam which will be held on 09 May, 2026.

The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E./B.Tech. is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry (or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics), Mathematics & English as compulsory subjects.

The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics, Mathematics and English are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE/VTU will be adopted.

Candidates should have passed in all the individual subjects including all optional or additional subjects.

All the subjects should be passed from one single board. Marks Cards from 2 different boards will not be accepted.Example:A single candidate having Marks card of Physics and Chemistry from CBSE board and Marks Card of Mathematics from NIOS board is not eligible.

An attempt in the COMEDK Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank list. However, a candidate who has obtained '0' (Zero) mark will not be assigned any rank.

Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.
* OCI and PIO candidates have to provide declaration as per Annexure A mentioned in the Information Brochure

- The Test cities are allotted to candidates on first come first serve basis subject to availability. However, COMEDK reserves the right to allot any other test city/state other than the city chosen by the candidate
- A candidate can opt for 3 cities in order of preference before submitting the application form online . However please note the allotment of the test centres is subject to availability
- Each city can have one or more centers. The allocation of centers is done through a computer assisted randomization / optimization process
- Please note that the preference indicated by the candidate will be considered only after receipt of successful online Payment by COMEDK
- The test city opted by a candidate cannot be changed subsequently under any circumstance.
- If for any reason, a test city has to be cancelled or is non-available, applicants who had opted for the cancelled/non-available Exam city will be allotted a center at another city by COMEDK
- COMEDK reserves the right to allot any other Exam City other than the preference indicated by the applicant
- Any changes to the stated policy and decision will be communicated on our website
- The allocated center and session/slot will be communicated on the online Test Admission Ticket (online TAT)
