PG Entrance Examination (PGEE) is for admission into the following programs.

Master of Technology (M.Tech) programme which is based on course work.
Master of Science (M.S) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes which require some course work and completion of a research thesis.

Duration of Programmes:

Master of Technology (M.Tech.): 2 years
Master of Science (M.S) by Research: 2 years
Ph.D.: 5 years

Eligible applicants of each programme need to appear for a computer-based examination conducted by IIITH, as shown in the above table. The exam will be held in multiple centers across many cities (List of Centers). The syllabi and details for the exams can be found here.

Admission for M.Tech programmes is solely based on the written exam which involves General Aptitude and Subject Tests.
M.S & Ph.D. applicants will need to go through an additional interview process. For details click here.

SAARC country nationals are eligible for PGEE and will be treated on par with Indian nationals.

What do I need to do to apply?
You need to register online and fill an application form to appear for the exam by the announced deadline.
Application Fee (Non-refundable): INR 3100/-.

To Apply for MS/Ph.D Programmes: Login into Application portal Postgraduate PGEE-MS/Ph.D.
Note: Applicants should apply for any one mode only, either M.Tech or MS/PhD.
