Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to MBA Course, Kerala Management Aptitude Test (First Session of KMAT-2026).

Eligibility
  • Nationality and Nativity: Indians and Non-Indians are eligible to apply. But, only Keralite candidates are eligible for all types of reservations and fee concession.
  • Age - No restrictions.
  • Educational Qualifications- Candidate should have completed the Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration in the field of Arts, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management and equivalent to satisfy the eligibility criteria for the examinations.
  • Minimum marks – Candidates should have attained the minimum marks as stipulated for admission to MBA course by the respective Universities to which the candidate wishes to apply.
  • Graduating candidates–Candidates who are appearing for the final year of the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply, provided their results are declared before the commencement of the admission process.
Application Fee details
Application fee payable by candidates:
- General: Rs. 1,000/-
- SC: Rs. 500/-
- ST: NIL

Duration Examination: 3 hours
Syllabus
The syllabus for K-MAT is based on the fundamentals of the 10+2 curriculum. The subjects covered in the entrance test, along with the number of questions and marks allotted for each question, are given below.

As per the marking scheme, 4 marks are awarded for a correct answer and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
Entrance Examinations
  • The candidate desirous of joining MBA course in the state on the basis of the K-MAT 2026 will have to appear for this Entrance Examination. The KMAT 2026 score is applicable exclusively for MBA admissions for the academic year 2026. Under no circumstances will the score be carried forward or used for admissions in subsequent years. The admission to the course will be based on the marks of the Entrance Examination, group discussion and interview giving the following weightage.
    - Entrance test score: 80%
    - Group discussion: 10%
    - Personal Interview: 10%
    - Total: 100%
  • The Entrance Examination shall be a Computer Based Test of Three hours duration and will consist of 180 objective type questions in
    a) English Language Usage and Reading Comprehension (50 Questions)
    b) Quantitative Ability (50 Questions)
    c) Data sufficiency and Logical Reasoning (40 Questions)
    d) General Awareness and current affairs (40 Questions)

    If any candidate has any complaint regarding the answer keys, the same should be submitted online through the Candidate Portal to the CEE along with supporting documents and remit a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) per question by way of online payment, within 3 days from the date of publication of answer keys on the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. If the complaint filed is found to be genuine, the fee remitted while filing the complaint will be refunded. Complaints received after the stipulated date and without requisite fee will not be considered under any circumstances. Complaints received by E-mail/Fax will not be considered on any account. All complaints on Answer keys received will be referred to subject expert committees to be constituted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The recommendations of the Committees will be final.
    Necessary modifications will be made in the published answer keys based on the recommendations of the Committees and the marks for the deleted questions, if any, shall be distributed as per the ruling of the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala in 2002(3) KLT 871. Individual replies will not be given to the candidates on the decision of the Committees.
Procedure for Applying Online
All candidates seeking admission to the course on the basis of KMAT should apply online through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. Application can be submitted in online mode only.
  • Five steps for applying online:
    There are 5 steps for the online submission of application and all the steps are mandatory. Candidates should complete all steps and the candidates are advised to keep a soft copy or print out of the Application Acknowledgement Page for future reference. For the online submission of application, candidate has to visit the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in where he/she can find the link "KMAT 2026 - Online Application".

    (5) Upload Signature of Candidate
  • Print Application Acknowledgement Page:
    After completing the above process candidate can take a printout of the Application Acknowledgement page by clicking on the link ‘Print Acknowledgement Page’. Candidates are advised to keep a soft copy or printout of the Application Acknowledgement page for future reference. Printout of Application Acknowledgement page should not be sent to the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
