3-Year LL.B. Programme

Eligibility

Non-Provisional Candidates: Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination (Graduation – Annual Scheme, Semester Scheme, CBCS Or NEP-2020) are eligible for admission to the above Masters and UG Programmes and they shall submit their forms under non-provisional category (Candidates who have qualified Graduation).
Provisional Candidates: Candidates whose result is awaited or who are appearing or who shall be appearing in the qualifying examination (Graduation) can apply provisionally under provisional category, on their own risk and responsibility, subject to fulfilling all eligibility conditions, including passing of Graduation in full, and acquiring minimum required percentage of marks by or before 28^th July, 2026. Please note that any candidate failing to upload the required details of eligibility shall forfeit the right to admission even if having appeared in the entrance test and even if having higher merit than those selected.
(Important Note: Any candidate who wants any modification in the application form or have any query related to application form can post their queries online from the dashboard after logging into their account by entering their username and password)

Detailed eligibility criteria for the Masters and LL.B. offered by the University are mentioned in the Prospectus-2026 available on the University Website www.kashmiruniversity.net under the tab Admissions. The syllabi prescribed for Entrance Test and previous years Entrance Papers (wherever available) are also available on the same tab i.e., Admissions.

Important Dates

On-line submission and last date for Application Forms is from 02/06/2026 to 30/06/2026.
The notified dates are final and no extension shall be granted.

Submission of On-Line Application Forms

The candidates are advised to follow the below steps for filling of On-Line Application Forms.

Step-1:
Visit www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.uok.edu.in and click on Link Admissions.
Read carefully Important Instructions for Registration and Submission of Form, before proceeding further.
Step-2:
Candidate needs to compulsorily register himself/herself before submitting the Online Application Form. For Registration with the System Click on the “Register as Student”. Remember for future reference, the Username and Password which you create during registration process.
Step-3:
After successful Registration, login into the system for submitting On-line Application Form. Enter your “Qualifying Examination Registration No.” and Click “Search”. You will either get pre-filled information or you need to enter manually the required detail.
Step-4:
Enter the required details under “Personal Details, Qualifying Examination Details, Additional Details (if any)”.
Under Qualifying exam section, in case you have passed your qualifying graduation under NEP 2020, you need to select the following:
- 3-Year Graduates: Select TYUP. Choose subject in which you have minimum of 12 credits in that particular subject.
- 4-Year Graduates: Select FYUP. Choose the subject in which you have minimum of 12 credits in that particular subject.
and click “Save and Move Next”.
Step-5:
Mention the credits of each subject given in the previous step and Click “Save and Move Next”.
Step-6:
Select the desired Preferences, (wherever required) [After last date the Preference of Campus/College selected will not be updated/changed]. Click “Save and Move Next”.
Step-7:
If there is any variation click on “Previous” button, make necessary corrections and then upload the latest passport size photograph, specimen signature, marks certificates and other related documents in relevant rows. Click “Save and Submit”.
Step-8:
Deposit the non-refundable Online fee of Rs. 900/- for one Programme plus Rs. 250/- for each subsequent Programmes, chosen through the same application. Please note that you can include multiple programmes you are interested in seeking admission through a single online application. Get a printout of the Form and note the Form No. for future reference.
Step-9:
Applicants can view the Application details at any point of time by providing username and password. An applicant is required to make sure that "Application Status" on application form is “Fee Received” after 3 days otherwise application will be treated as incomplete and summarily rejected. Under such conditions, candidates can post a query through online mode only and wait for response.
Step-10:
Candidates in their own interest are advised to apply & submit application promptly and not to wait till the last date/time for applying online. Directorate shall not be responsible if candidates are not able to submit their applications on account of the last-minute rush.

Other relevant information

Application Form/Fee Reconciliation Status: The candidates must check the status of their Application Forms after three days of its online submission. In case, the status of Application is not updated to “Fee Received” or “Fee Reconciliation is pending”, a candidate should post a query online from the dashboard and if a query does not get resolved, a candidate may contact the IT Cell (adjacent to DSW Office Near Moulana Rumi Gate, University of Kashmir), alongwith Application Form, Fee receipt and all other documents, by or before 30/06/2026; thereafter, no claim, whatsoever, will be entertained by the University;
Submission of Application Forms and appearance in the Entrance Test is subject to determination of eligibility for admission to the Programme by reference to the Admission Policy-2026;
The detailed Date Sheet for conduct of Entrance Test shall be uploaded on the University website in due course of time; however, the dates of Entrance Test are already notified in the prospectus;
Notification for Self-financed Seats shall be issued on 02/08/2026; however, only those candidates shall be eligible for admission under Self-financed Seats Category, who have appeared in the Entrance Test of the concerned subject and have applied online on time.
Notification for NRI and NRI Sponsored seats shall be issued on 27/07/2026; therefore, candidates interested in applying under the category shall keep relevant documents available (NRI Certificate/NRI Sponsorship letter; NRI Bank Account Details; Passport, Employer certificate for NRI sponsored candidates). The selection of the candidates under said quota shall be made purely on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
