Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is a national-level entrance exam used for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and its affiliated institutions.

MAHE has every right to change the Test Date / Slot under unforeseen circumstances (if any). In such a situation, new date / slot will be informed to the candidates. We request all candidates to cooperate.

The booking is allowed based on a first-come-first-serve basis and subject to slot availability. It is the responsibility of the candidates to book their test schedule. Without Test slot booking, Candidates are NOT eligible for appearing in the MET. A slot once booked, CANNOT be changed under any circumstance.

MET 2026 Syllabus

Note: Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026 will be a common entrance test for admission to the B.Tech programs offered by Manipal Institute of Technology (MAHE Manipal), Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMU Sikkim), Manipal University (MU) Jaipur and Manipal Institute of Technology Bengaluru (MAHE Manipal). The entrance examination will be followed by a online BTech Common Counseling Process for MET rank holders only.

Eligibility & Admissions 2026

MAHE admits candidates under Indian / Domestic (General) or Foreign / NRI category (International), on fulfilling the eligibility requirements. All admissions are on the basis of merit.

Foreign / NRI category seats are available only for
• Foreign Nationals
• Candidates with NRI status
• Candidates sponsored by relatives with NRI status
• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)*
• Person of Indian Origin (PIO)

Foreign / NRI / NRI Sponsored category seats are NOT equivalent to payment / management / reserved seats.
*The candidates MUST have secured the OCI/PIO card before 04.03.2021.
*As per the decision dated February 03, 2023 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Writ Petition (Civil) 891 / 2021, the OCI/PIO candidates who have secured OCI/PIO card before 04.03.2021 shall be considered as Indian nationals.

- If it is found at a later stage, during active verification, that the candidate has given false information / qualification obtained from unrecognized Board / University or is found to have concealed some information regarding eligibility or deliberately delayed submission of marks / grade sheets inspite of multiple reminders, his / her admission will be cancelled without any notice and the paid fee will be forfeited.
Mere inclusion in the merit list or call for online / offline counseling does NOT guarantee admission to a course.
All admissions are through merit and MAHE (Manipal / Mangalore / Bangalore / Jamshedpur campuses) has NO agents or middlemen or consultants, for admissions or related activities.
Jurisdiction for dispute (if any) shall be at Udupi court only.
