Eligibility: A candidate who has passed the higher secondary or 10+2 (Class XII) Examination or its equivalent from any recognized board having secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (relax able by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in 2024, 2025 and 2026 (appeared) shall be eligible for admission in B.Tech.

Eligibility: Three (3) year diploma holder in Engineering in relevant branch with a minimum of 60% (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) marks may apply for lateral entry. Those appearing in the final examination in 2026 may also appear in MZUEEE 2026 provisionally.

Instructions for form fill up:

Give your Name, Email and phone to register for new applicants.

Activate your account by giving the OTP received in the mail.

Once the candidate profile is submitted further change is not possible.

Select the programme you wished to apply.

If the programme was visible and not visible anymore, go to home and scroll down to the bottom of the page. The programme name will be listed at the bottom of the page. From there, click on submit Application (Red colour option).

Registration fees: Rs. 1,000/- for GEN/OBC/EWS and Rs. 500/- for SC & ST.

Don’t send the hard copy of the application form.

For Lateral Entry students: Enter the details of Diploma under Class XII/Equivalent area.

For family income, select ‘Not Appicable’ if you dont have the certificate.

For students whose money has been deducted but still showing unpaid:
-
Wait for 1 hour for the payment to be resolved by the system.
-
Log in to the account.
-
Go to the ‘payments’ option.
-
It will list all the payments tried by the students.
-
Select the payments that has failed.
-
Click on ‘Check Payment’.
-
If the payment was successful, it will be updated by the system.
-
If it still shows ‘Failure’, payment was not successful and the student needs to repay the amount again.

Important instructions:

There is a separate google form to opt the exam centre for MZUEEE-2026. Candidates are requested to fill and submit the google form after the submission of online application.
-
If anyone fails to submit the google form, then his/her exam center will be allotted by the MZUEEE-2026 committee. Once the exam centre is allotted for such candidates, then no further request will be entertained.
-
MZUEEE-2026 authority may cancel the Guwahati exam center with prior notification if sufficient number of candidates do not choose Guwahati Exam center. In that case, only one exam center (Mizoram University) will be considered for all the candidates. The shortlisted candidates with their exam center will be displayed on 19.05.2026 in University website.
For Admission into various courses offered by the University, the score of Candidates in either CUET or MZU Entrance Test will be considered. 50% of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination added with the marks obtained in the Entrance Tests will be considered for determining Merit for admission. For admission into Ph.D., the admission Committee of the respective Departments will frame the necessary admission process.
In case of internal students i.e. students who have graduated from Colleges affiliated to or maintained by this University, 15 marks will be added to the marks obtained in the concerned subject. In case of those candidates who have not offered the subject in the Major/Honours no such weightage shall be given and their marks in the Major/Honours subject without weightage shall be taken into account.
Availability/Reservation of seats:

Up to 10% of seats may be assigned to students from other disciplines. It is also provided that if teaching of Honours in a subject has not been ‘sufficiently developed within the jurisdiction of the University or in any unit in particular’, seats in the concerned Department may be filled in a manner as may be decided by the respective Department in accordance with University Regulation RC-I.

The distribution of total seats available shall be as follows:
• Open Category – 50%
• SC/ST candidates – 50%
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) – 10% (in addition to the existing seats)

Five percent of the above seats shall be reserved for Persons with Disabilities. Such applications shall be supported by a Disability Certificate issued by a Competent Authority in a prescribed format. An applicant with 40% to 60% disability may be given 5% added weightage and above 60%, 7% added weightage.

Reservations are also available as and when MHRD/UGC prescribes Special Categories issued from time to time.

For all programmes, Reservations as per University norms plus sponsored seats are available (refer to Intake Capacity).

Ten percent of the above seats are earmarked as University special quota for the following categories:

Unrepresented Backward Areas: The level of backwardness may be determined vis-à-vis the national level of literacy. An applicant coming from an area having up to 5% below the national level of literacy may be given 5% added weightage to the marks obtained by the applicant at the qualifying exams.

Outstanding Sportsmen/Sportswomen: 10% weightage for representing the country at International Level, 5% for representing the State at National Level and 3% for Inter-University at National Level added weightage to the marks obtained at the qualifying exams.

Children of Regular Employees of Mizoram University: 7% weightage to the marks obtained at the qualifying exams. Certificate of employment may be issued by the Office of the Registrar.
NOTE: Applicants are required to submit necessary documents in support of their claims.
