The Panjab University Migration Engineering Entrance Test (PUMEET) is primarily for students who wish to migrate or transfer to the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) program at Panjab University, specifically at the Dr. SSB University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology.

Check your email for Login Id and Password.
Login to your account to pay fee online. [Last date for submission of fee: May 29, 2026]
After successful payment, Upload scanned passport size photograph, signature, fill other important information and Save and Confirm. (Once you confirm the form, you will not be allowed to change information in the form [Last date for completion of form: June 01, 2026]
Download your Admit Card after June 05, 2026.

Note:

Fee of Entrance Test is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Online Form once submitted, the candidate shall not be allowed to make any change in it by way of any addition / deletion / alteration / amendment / change under any circumstances.

Candidate availing concession in the fee under category SC/ST/PwD or Class B/C Regular Employee of PU must send the copy of printout of their Entrance Test Form along with Performa for claiming 50% concession to P.U. Regular Employees (“B”and “C”Class) duly signed by Head/Chairperson to Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand on or before 03-06-2026 (Wednesday) upto 04:00 P.M.
Mere login id creation OR deposit of fee does not mean that candidate has completed his/her online application form. Incomplete form leads to cancellation of candidature. Any request for completion of form after due date will not be entertained at all.

Note: Applying for Entrance Test and taking the Test do not entitle a candidate for admission. For admission to PUMEET based programme being offered by Dr SSBUICET, UIET, PU, Chandigarh and UIET, PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur and CCET, Sector 26 , Chandigarh candidate has to submit hard copy of Admission Form and participate in counselling. Admission Form and Scrutiny Form will be available at http://pumeet.puchd.ac.in

Eligibility Conditions

The candidates who have pursued B.E. (First Year) from any Engineering Institute / University (including those already studying in engineering institutes of Panjab University Campus (es) or its affiliated institutes) recognized by Panjab University, Chandigarh with minimum aggregate of 60% marks (must have completed 12th grade with Mathematics and Physics and no failed subjects in the first year) and have appeared in JEE examination in previous session (JEE Main - 2025) are eligible to appear in this test.

Scheme of Test

The duration of the Entrance Test will be one hour and forty minutes and it will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions of one mark each. The syllabus shall be based broadly on the course contents as provided in the Prospectus. There will be negative marking for wrong answers (¼marks will be deducted). The subject wise distribution of questions is depicted below:
- Mathematics: 30
- Physics: 20
- Chemistry: 20
- General Engineering: 20
- Communication Skills: 10

Merit Criteria

There will be 15% cut off marks for General category and 10% cut off marks for SC/ST/PwD/BC category in the PUMEET entrance test. The University will publish common Merit cum rank list. Rank will be awarded on the basis of marks obtained in PUMEET exam to all the candidates. Branch and Institute will be finalized at the time of admission as per the availability of seats strictly on basis of merit and eligibility conditions.
