Admission to Aeronautical Engineering / AME / Integrated Course of B.Tech. (Aeronautical) + AME, 2026-27

SOACET 2026 is an Entrance exam conducted by the School of Aeronautics for admission into B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) & AME Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME). All the courses run by SOA are approved by AICTE / DGCA, and B.Tech. courses are affiliated to Bikaner Technical University (BTU)/RTU.

AICTE & DGCA are the sole authority in India for approval of B.Tech. (Aeronautical Engineering) & Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) courses respectively. DGCA is the Regulatory body to look after the working of Aviation Organizations in India.

SOA conducts these entrance examinations every year at different centres throughout the country. This exam is usually conducted in May / June.

Educational Qualification for Admission

The minimum qualification for admission into B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) & Integrated Program of B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) + AME

10+2 pre-degree/intermediate or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (percentage as per AICTE norms)

For lateral entry in B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) program / Integrated Program of B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) + AME
Diploma in Engineering with 50% marks in the following branches are eligible:

Diploma in Mechanical, Production & Industrial, Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Telecommunication Engg. and Aeronautical Engineering.
B.Sc. in PCM with 50%

The minimum qualification for admission into Aircraft Maintenance Engineering:

10+2 pre-degree/intermediate or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
Diploma in Engineering with 50% marks / B.Sc. in PCM

Note: For AME, Students should not have colour blindness.

Examination Fee

Registration Fee for the School of Aeronautics Common Entrance Test (SOACET) is Rs. 1,000/-. This amount is neither refundable nor transferable nor adjustable for future SOACET.

Procedure pf Applying

Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates of residents of India, and Indian Nationals residing in other countries, for admission into the first-year B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) & AME program run in SOA.

Registration Fee for SOACET is Rs. 1,000/-.
Candidates must fill in basic information in the form & upload photo & sign (in jpg format Max up to 500 KB).
Candidates may make online payment through Internet banking / credit card / debit card on our portal.
Candidates will receive registration number after confirmation on successful payment.

Candidates must fill basic information in form & paste a photo & sign the form.
Registration Fee of SOACET is Rs. 1,000/-.
Candidates must make a DD of Rs. 1000/- in favor of School of Aeronautics, payable at New Delhi.
Candidates may then send the form & DD to our corporate office through Post at School of Aeronautics, H 974, Palam Extention, Part 1, Sector 7 Dwarka, New Delhi, Delhi 110077.
After receiving the form at our Corporate Office candidate will get Registration Number by SMS and EMail.
Kindly keep registration number & DD number for future use.

Admit Card will be issued 10 days before entrance test, Candidate will receive Admit Card through EMail and SMS.
Results will be declared after entrance examination in around a week.

Scholarship Details

Admission Fee is waived of if candidate qualify SOACET Exam, Scholarship is provided to the students of Aeronautical Engineering & AME as per their extra ordinary performances.

At the time of admission on the basis of 12th class (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) marks.
If candidate belongs to (OBC/SC/ST) category we offer 5% scholarship & additionally 5% scholarship for Girls candidate.
During course on the basis of performance in semester exams conducted by university. (FOR THE CLARIFICATION OF THE STUDENTS, WE LOOK FOR INCREASING % OF MARKS FROM CLASS 12 ONWARDS).
Society also helps in getting the scholarship from various bodies.
