Online applications are invited for admission to the following courses in Assam University, Silchar (Head Quarter) Campus and Diphu Campus for the academic session 2026-2027.

Silchar Caqmpus (H.Q.)

4-Semester Post Graduate Courses:
- Master of Arts (M.A.): Arabic, Bengali, Economics, Education, English, Hindi, History, Linguistics, Manipuri, Political Science, Journalism & Mass Communication, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Sociology and Urdu.
- Master of Science(M.Sc.): Biotechnology, Chemistry, Ecology and Environmental Science, Earth Science, Life Science & Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Statistics and Computer Science (Lateral Entry).

DIPHU Caqmpus

4-Semester Post Graduate courses:
- Master of Arts: Assamese, English, Hindi, History, Political Science.
- Master of Science: Life Science and Bioinformatics, Physics.
- Master of Arts/Science: Geography, Anthropology.
- Master of Commerce.
Diploma Course: 2-Semester PG Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Commerce).

General Instructions

Candidates are required to apply online through the portal https://www.ausexamination.ac.in/admission for the above course(s) on payment of Rs. 1,000.00 (for General and OBC students), Rs. 900/- (for OBC Non-Creamy Layer/ EWS Category) and Rs. 800.00 (for SC/ST/PWD students) through online payment link associated with the application portal only. The University does not accept any other mode of payment. The candidates must be alert of any kind of fraud in this regard. The University is not liable in case of any such type of fraud incident.

The candidates who have passed/appeared the final examination of Three year UG Degree (CBCS pattern) or third year/six semester of FYUG Degree (NEP 2020 pattern) from Assam University or any other recognized University along with a valid CUET Score may apply for admission to PG Courses. Candidates whose UG results are awaited, need to submit a copy of their final result of Degree examination to the respective Department within a stipulated time (will be notified later). Nonsubmission of Degree final mark sheet within stipulated time and/or non-compliance of eligibility criteria of respective Department shall automatically cancel the candidature.

Candidates will be selected for admission to PG Programmes on the basis of valid CUET (PG) score of the relevant subject(s). Candidates without CUET (PG) Score may be considered later in specific courses where applications with valid CUET (PG) Score are insufficient. Assam University reserves 50% seats in PG program for candidates graduated from the affiliated colleges of this University.

Separate application should be submitted for each course (up to a maximum of two courses in any campus). For details of Intake Capacity, fee structure and eligibility criteria, candidates may go through the Admission Prospectus of PG / Diploma / Certificate Courses 2026-27,available in the University website http://www.aus.ac.in and admission portal https://www.ausexamination.ac.in/admission .
Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS categories will be made as per GOI guidelines
