Offline Counseling and Admission for Doctoral Degree Programme, 2025-26

In continuation to the Notification vide no. A/Ph.D-12(Part-VIly/L-1 145, dated 18/11/2025 (Ph.D. Notification No.4/2025-26), it is notified to all concerned that the remaining vacant seats under Ph.D. programmes, which are available after completion of up gradation process on 27/01/2026 at 12:30 P.M., shall be filled up through 4" round of offline counseling for eligible candidates.

Vacant seat matrix is enclosed herewith in Annexure-I.

The 4th & final round of counselling for admission to Doctoral Degree Progammes in the academic session 2025-26 will be held on 27/01/2026 at 12:30 P.M. in the Convocation Hall, Administrative Building, BCKV, Mohanpur, Nadia.

General Instruction:

During counseling the candidates shall have to opt the department for admission as per ranking and as per availability of seats. For all the seats reservation policy for admission will be followed as per W.B. Govt. norms. Admission will be conducted as per Ph.D. Notification No. A/Ph.D-12(Part-VIl)/L-1077, dated 25/09/2025 (Ph.D. Notification No.3/2025-26).
Admitted UR-PwD -> UR seats for Ph.D. courses for the session 2025-26 will be available for up-gradation.
The up-grade candidates under UR-PwD -> UR would be required to give an undertaking that in the event of receiving any objection raised by the State Government or any directives from the court of law, at any later date, the admission may be cancelled. The University shall not have any liability in this respect.
During counseling admission will be taken as per ranking and as per availability of seats. For all the seats reservation policy for admission will be followed as per W.B. Govt. nornms.
Hostel allotment will be carried out on the same date as per availability.
Candidates failing to attend the counseling as per the above mentioned schedule, will not be allowed to take admission. The decision of the Admission Committee will be fnal.
Venue: Convocation Hall, Administrative Building, BCKV, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, India.

Following fees to be paid by the admitted candidates at the time of counselling/admission::

Tuition Fees per semester: (a) Self finance/Non-NET/Research Fellow sponsored by the corporate companies = Rs. 6,000/- (b) ICAR-SRF/URS/UGC-NET/CSIR or Similar other UGC or National Fellowship = Rs. 6,000/- (c) Research Fellow/Associate/Others (Govt. Project) = Rs. 10,000/- (d) In-service candidates = Rs. 25,000/- (e) Foreign student = Rs. 50,000/-
Seat Rent for Hosteller (for all category of students): (a) Foreign Student @ Rs. 1,000/- per month (b) In-Service Student @ Rs. 700/- per month (c) Self Finance/Other Students @ Rs. 500/- per month
