This is for information of all concerned that the Ph.D. Entrance Examination-2026 is now scheduled to be held on 26^th February, 2026 for the Ph.D programme for the session 2025-26. The syllabus for the entrance examination will be as per the UGC NET Syllabus. The entrance examination will be for 100 marks and the pattern of questions will be MCQ. There will be two parts - one part will be subject specific and the other part will be on Research Methodology. Candidates those who have already cleared the NET Examination for Assistant Professor/JRF/Ph.D admission only conducted by NTA during December, 2024 and June 2025 and the marks are above the cut-off are exempted from the Ph.D. Entrance examination to be conducted by Bodoland University. However, such candidates who have cleared the NET Examination as mentioned above will have to appear before the Interview Board as and when called for. Candidates with JRF having the validity for admission in Ph.D programme are also exempted for the entrance examination.
