Admission to MBA Programme, 2026-2028
Applications are invited for Two-year (4 semester) MBA, MBA (Health Care Management) and MBA (International Finance) programmes for the Academic year 2026-2027 at the Department of Commerce & Management Studies (DCMS), University Campus, University of Calicut and at the Self Financing MBA Centres (School of Management Studies) under the Department. Applications are also invited for admission to the merit seats of Self-financing MBA institutes / colleges affiliated to the University (excluding admission to autonomous management colleges) (Please see the list of MBA colleges/SMS Centres in Appendix I) and for the Part-time MBA (Evening programme - Self Financing - 4 semesters). If sufficient number of candidates do not prefer any of the centres for the MBA evening programme, the programme will not be offered at that centre.
Candidates seeking admission under Management quota in Self financing MBA colleges shall also register online under the University, though the admission of such candidates is directly done by the colleges/ institutions concerned.

Any degree of the University of Calicut (including degree programmes of the SDE/Open Degree programme of SDE, University of Calicut) or that of any other University or Institute or Institution recognized by the UGC or AICTE. Programmes of other Universities or Institutions shall be in 10+2+3 pattern (or 10+2+4) under regular stream or distance education stream, recognized by DEC/UGC. In all the cases, the student should have passed the Bachelor Degree examination with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate, including the marks of languages, if any (without approximation, that is, 49.9999% is not eligible since it is less than 50%). SEBC and SC/ST students are allowed relaxation in marks as per rules (i.e., 5% relaxation for SEBC & Other Eligible Communities and a mere pass for SC/ST/PwD).
Applicant must obtain a valid score in any one of the following Management Aptitude Tests:
a) IIM-CAT, November 2025 only
b) KMAT conducted by CEE, Govt. of Kerala, 2026 only
c) CMAT of AICTE 2026 only
Two years work experience is required for an MBA evening programme in addition to the other requirements. In the absence of an adequate number of applicants with two years experience, others would also be considered.
Candidates awaiting their final semester degree results can also apply. However, all such candidates should submit their original Final Mark List/Consolidated Grade Card and Provisional Certificate to prove the eligibility on or before the closing date of admission fixed by the University/Admission Supervisory Committee, Thiruvananthapuram from time to time.

First Step – Mobile Number Verification using OTP:
Candidates applying for MBA admission 2026 shall enter their Name (as on the Qualifying Certificate), select the programme category (MBA Admission 2026 Registration), provide their email ID, and furnish a mobile number (student’s/parent’s/guardian’s mobile number only). Complete the mobile number verification using the OTP received on the provided number. Upon registration, the CAP ID and Password/Security Key will be sent to the registered mobile number.

Second Step – Login:
Using the CAP ID and Password/Security Key received on the registered mobile number, the candidate can log in.

Third Step – Photo Upload:
The photo must be recent (taken within the last six months) with a white background. The photo must display the candidate’s name and the date it was taken, with at least 80% of the face clearly visible (without a mask).
Size & Dimension: JPG/JPEG format, less than 40 KB, 200 px width × 250 px height.

Fourth Step – Entering Personal Details:
Enter all required data carefully.

Fifth Step – Entering Reservation Details:
Read the instructions provided at the top of the page. Candidates must exercise utmost care while selecting the reservation category during data entry.

Sixth Step – Entering Academic Details:
Result-awaiting students can also apply. They may enter marks as ‘0’ (Zero) if results are not yet available.

Seventh Step – Eligible Course Selection:
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) option will appear by default if the student meets the eligibility criteria based on the academic details entered.

8. Eighth Step – College Selection:
A candidate can select a maximum of 10 (ten) different Affiliated colleges / University Centres /
DCMS from among the list.

Ninth Step – Verification:
Carefully review all entered details, verify them, and then proceed to payment.

Tenth Step – Making Payment:
During payment, the website will redirect to the University of Calicut Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS), where the candidate can select the preferred mode of payment.

Eleventh Step – Application Print Out:
Once the application is submitted, a printout can be obtained from the dashboard. The printout will only be available if the payment is successful.

One-Time Edit Facility:
There will be a one-time edit facility after the application is submitted. If the candidate chooses to edit the application, entries in the Course Selection & College Selection sections will be cleared and must be re-entered. The candidate must re-submit the application and obtain a new printout.

Completion of Application:
1. A candidate’s application will be considered complete only if all the above steps are
successfully completed and the final printout shows an approved stamp on the candidate’s
photo.
2. The candidate must mention the CAP ID in all future communications.
3. No individual communication, regarding admission related activities, will be sent to the
candidates. Candidates should visit the University website (admission.uoc.ac.in) regularly and
go through the University press releases for the latest information related to the admission
process.

5. Fee once remitted will not be refunded or adjusted for any other registration purposes.
Selection will be based on the combined score obtained in CMAT 2026/KMAT 2026/CAT-Nov 2025, Group Discussion and Personal Interview marks and marks obtained by the candidates in the Plus Two examination giving the following weightage:
