Admission to 2-Year (Four Semesters) PG (M.A.) Programmes, 2026-2028
Online application for admission will start from 19/06/2026 and continue up to 03/07/2026

Online application for admission to Two-Year (Four Semesters) MA Programmes for the session 2026-28 in Hindi, Anuvad Sahitya, History & Political Science will start from 19/06/2026 and continue up to 03/07/2026.

Candidates may submit application form through Hindi University Website (www.hindiuniv.ac.in ) between 19/06/2026 and 03/07/2026.

Draft merit list for correction/rectification (if any) will be published on 06/07/2026.
Final Provisional Merit List will be published in phases on 08/07/2026, 10/07/2026, 13/07/2026 & 15/07/2026 subject to the availability of seats and Classes will commence from 3rd August, 2026 as advised by the HED in Memo No. 638-Edn(U)/HED-12016(21)/5/2025-UNV SECDept. of HE dated 18.05.2026.

Online admission will be strictly on the basis of Merit.

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, PWD & EWS Categories is as per Rules.

To avail reservation facility applicants will have to upload valid document.

Applicants will have to follow the Admission List to be published in phases as long as seats will remain vacant for filling.

If seats remain vacant when there is no waitlisted candidate, portal may be opened again subject to decision of the University Authority.

An applicant who gets a chance will have to ACCEPT the offer within the given time and make online payment of requisite fees.

Chance Lost candidates may apply for re-consideration before the expiry of the next phase admission list. But re-consideration is subject to availability of seats and acceptability of the reason assigned for missing the chance.

All testimonials are to be uploaded at the time of application for admission.

Verification of documents will be done on 03/08/2026, i.e. on the date of commencement of Classes.

Candidate must follow the Admission Schedule to be notified on HU website.

Application Forms found to be incomplete or supported by insufficient documents will be summarily rejected.

The admission of a candidate will be cancelled, at any stage, if the candidate is found to have suppressed any fact/information regarding previous degree, year of passing or any information which may render him ineligible.

The detailed admission schedule (i.e., dates, time, venue etc.) will be notified from time to time in the admission portal of the University Website.

All admission to any PG Course will be provisional subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria and other regulations.

Admission will be cancelled at any stage if a candidate is found to have not cleared all/any of the 6 (Six) Semesters’ examinations or have obtained less than pass marks in qualifying examination. or Single Major Subject or to have submitted False/Untrue information or insufficient documents.

For this year, only 2-years PG Programme will be offered.

Eligibility Criteria for application:
-
Students having Honours/Major in a single Subject and having Passed in the 5th Semester Examination and are pursuing 6th semester in 2026 are eligible to apply for admission subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria.

Students having passed Honours (under1 +1+1 System) are also eligible to apply for admission.

Students having passed 3-years Honours not beyond 2022 (Current year i.e. 2026 plus 4 preceding years i.e. 2022) are also eligible to apply for admission subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria.

Not Eligible to apply:

Students having Honors with a Core Vocational Subject are not eligible to apply for admission to PG Course.

Candidates with final mark sheet showing SNC (semester not cleared) are not eligible. Eligibility for admission to P.G. Course is subject to uploading/Production of all clear mark sheets of all years or all semesters within the stipulated time.
(A clear mark sheet means the one which does not show Fail/Arrear etc in any subject of any year/any semester mark sheet.)

Application Form will be rejected if all semesters cleared mark sheets including 5th Semester is not produced within the stipulated time which will be notified in the Admission Schedule.

Admission Criteria:
-
Ordinarily students passed with Honors/Major in a single Subject in 3-years UG Degree Course up to 6 semesters are eligible for admission subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria.

Students having passed all semesters including 5th Semester will be considered for provisional admission for this year subject to production of all cleared mark sheets up to 5th semester before the notified period. The provisional admission will be cancelled if the eligibility criteria as given are not fulfilled.

Subject-wise Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Post Graduate Courses for the academic session 2026-28
The candidates passed out not earlier than 2022, are only eligible for admission to Post-Graduate Courses in Hindi, Anuvad Sahitya, History and Political Science for the academic session 2026-2028.
