Notice of the Interview Schedule (in offline mode) for Ph.D. Admission (July Cycle 2026) and list of shortlisted candidates for Interview

This is to inform that the interview process (in offline mode) for Ph.D. Admission (July Cycle 2026) at IIEST, Shibpur, will be held during July 01 - 02, 2026. The interview will be conducted at the respective Department/School/Center. Candidates must report to the respective department/school/center as mentioned in the interview schedule (Annexure-I ). The interview shall be held in physical mode. No request for appearing in online mode shall be considered.

The list of shortlisted candidates for interview is given in Annexure-II . The list of candidates who are not shortlisted for interview is given in Annexure-III .

The shortlisted candidate must bring the following ORIGINAL documents along with 01 (One) set of self-attested photocopies of the same.

• Signed application form
• Marksheet of Secondary, Higher Secondary / Diploma in Engineering, Undergraduate, Postgraduate examinations
• GATE/NET/DST Inspire scorecard/award letter, if applicable
• Proof of date of birth
• Valid category certificate, if applicable (The EWS / OBC-NCL certificates must be issued on or after April 01, 2026.)
• PwD certificate, if applicable
• No objection certificate in proper format for the sponsored candidates and self-sponsored candidates (if applicable). Such candidates shall not be allowed to appear for the interview without a valid NOC in appropriate format, as per information brochure.

All the original documents shall be verified before the beginning of the interview. If anything is found wrong / the applicant is unable to produce the original documents, the candidature shall be canceled.

The candidate must show proof of a valid photo ID before the interview.

The candidates are advised to go through the Institute website on a regular basis for any instructions that may be required to appear in the interview.

This is issued with the approval of the competent authority. Note: Reporting time for all candidates is 60 minutes before the start of the interview.
