Admission Against Vacant & De-Reserved Seats
4-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Courses: 2026–2027

• Any omission/error should be brought to the notice of the respective Head of the Department immediately.
• All admissions are provisional.
• Candidates have to submit the following documents at the time of verification and admission (if selected):
  • A print-out of the submitted on-line application,
  • 2 copies of recent passport-size photograph,
  • Original and attested copies of mark-sheets & Admit Card/Certificate of Secondary level and Higher Secondary level Examinations,
  • Original and attested copies of SC/ST/PD/OBC/EWS Certificate from competent authority, if applicable, at the time of verification,
  • Family income certificate from competent authority will be required at the time of admission,
  • Candidate’s copy of the admit card.
  Note:
  • As per circular Nos. BC-16014/1/82-SC dt.06/08/1984 & BCD-1, D.O.12017/11/89-SCD(R.CELL) dt.09/01/1990 and 1465–BCW/MR–67/10 dt.30/04/2010 from the Government of West Bengal, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes of the states other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in educational institutions in West Bengal, unless they can produce a domicile certificate of 10-year residency issued by competent authority. Candidates provisionally selected under this category will have to submit the SC/ST certificate in their name at the time of admission, otherwise his/her admission may be denied.
  • Persons with 40% or more disability will only be considered for admission under PD quota under RPD Act, 2016.
  • The EWS certificate of financial year 2026-27 is only valid for admission in this academic session.
  • The reservation for OBC category in the admission process will be carried forward as per the order of Govt. of West Bengal, order no- 945-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18th May 2026.
  • Candidates provisionally selected under OBC category should submit a valid NCL certificate (issued by competent authority) which should not be earlier than 18th May, 2026.
  • OBC candidates from the States other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in Educational Institutions in West Bengal. Such students may get the benefit of reserved quota if they have domicile certificate of 10 years residency in West Bengal.
• Failure to appear at the verification/admission on the specified date and time will lead to rejection of candidature without further reference to the candidate.
• Amount of money required for admission of each provisionally selected candidate is Rs. 1860.00.

• It is being brought to the notice of all concerned that Ragging is not only a social evil but also a penal offence. Any student/s indulging in ragging of any student/s including freshers during admission / interview and / or subsequently at the hostel or in the class or in the corridors or anywhere inside and outside of the campus, shall be severely dealt with on pain of punishment ranging from loss of academic year/loss of hostel boardership to expulsion from the university itself. Reporting to the Police Station may also be made in addition to the above punishment. The University is to follow all the directives of the “UGC REGULATION ON CURBING THE MENACE OF RAGGING IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, 2009 under the direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. • Moreover, selected students and his/her father/guardian will be required to submit an Anti-Ragging Affidavit .
• If a student cancels his/her admission, he/she may apply for refund of the fees. The fees will be refunded as per the D.O no.-F.2-71/2022 (CPP-II) dated 03/7/2023) by UGC. Refund of fees may take some time.
• Hostel accommodation is very limited. However, outstation candidates may apply to the Dean of Students for hostel accommodation. Interested candidates are advised to enclose the following documents along with the filled-in application form (Click here for Hostel Form ) for Hostel Boardership to submit on the day of verification/admission:
  • Attested copy of voter identity card (EPIC)/Residential certificate issued by Gazetted officer/Employer.
  • Income certificate from the employer (with official seal) for the employed person. For others: for the purpose of determining the Annual Income of the parents/guardians of the student an officer of the State Govt. in the rank of B.D.O or above in the district/their equivalent counterparts (Group-A Officer) elsewhere will be competent to issue Income Certificate to be issued to each of such students.
  • SC/ST/PWD/OBC/EWS certificate, if applicable.
  • Copy of the Ration Card.
