Jai Prakash University invites online applications for admission to CBCS-based Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (2026–30) in affiliated and constituent colleges. The online application process will be available through the university portal from 16.05.2026.

Admission Information

Admission to CBCS-based Four-Year Undergraduate Semester System (2026–30) will be done in the first year through online application (with a fee of Rs. 500/- only) via the university website. Once the application fee is paid, it will not be refunded under any circumstances. Colleges will determine the cut-off marks based on the applications received.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Faculty of Science: Candidates must have passed Intermediate Examination (I.Sc.) or +2 Science or any equivalent examination recognized by national/state boards.
2. Faculty of Arts: Candidates must have passed Intermediate Examination (I.A.) or +2 Arts or equivalent examination recognized by national/state boards.
3. Faculty of Commerce: Candidates must have passed Intermediate Examination (I.Com.) or +2 Commerce or equivalent examination recognized by national/state boards.
4. Applicants can choose a maximum of three programmes (subjects). Preference order must be selected while applying online. If admission is not possible in the first preferred subject, the second and third choices will be considered. No additional fee is required for selecting multiple programmes. Admission will be granted according to merit and seat availability.

Reservation Policy

• Reservation of seats will be implemented according to the reservation rules of the Bihar Government.
• If any certificate submitted by a candidate is found to be fake at the time of admission, the admission will be cancelled and the application fee will not be refunded.
• The university reserves the right to cancel admission of any candidate if required.
• Selection for admission in colleges will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Intermediate Examination and reservation rules.
