Admission to One-year PG Diploma in Dance Movement Therapy for Special Needs, 2026

Applications are invited for a One-year Postgraduate Diploma in Dance Movement Therapy for Special Needs to be conducted from May 2026 to April 2027 as a part-time programme with classes every Saturday afternoon at Jadavpur University and Thursday / Friday / Sunday experiential classes at SAMYA Foundation for Special Needs.

Eligibility

Graduates from any discipline, preferably from Psychology, Medical Science, Biological Sciences Special Education, Social Work, Performing Arts, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or allied fields in Education and Healthcare.

Note:

Parents and caregivers of persons with disabilities along with professionals (Physicians, Therapists, Special Educators, Teachers, and Nurses etc.) can apply.
Selection will be based on an online interview, marks in previous examinations appeared and work experience related to disability management, education, psychology and health sciences.

Course Fees

There is no application fee.
Course fees: Rs. 36,000/-. The Course fees can also be paid in three instalments i.e., Rs. 18,000/- at the time of admission and Rs. 9,000/- in two subsequent instalments.
The entire course fees or the first instalment i.e., Rs. 18,000/- to be paid by the selected candidates, at the time of admission, through Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, Jadavpur University payable at Kolkata.
The second instalment to be paid by 31.08.2026 and the third instalment to be paid by 30/11/2026.

* No refund will be issued after one week of course commencement.
