Provisional Merit List for admission to M.Sc. (Day) Course in Electronic Science, 2026-27

• Any omission/error should be brought to the notice of the respective Head of the Department immediately.
• All admissions are provisional.
• Candidates have to submit the following documents at the time of verification and admission (if selected):
  (a) Print-out of the submitted on-line application,
  (b) 2 copies of recent passport-size photograph,
  (c) Original and attested copies of marksheets & Admit Card/Certificate of Secondary level, Higher Secondary level Examinations and B.Sc. Examinations (Certificate, if available),
  (d) Original and attested copies of SC/ST/PD/OBC/EWS Certificate from competent authority, if applicable, at the time of verification,
  (e) Family income certificate from competent authority will be required at the time of admission,
  (f) Anti Ragging Undertaking by student and his/her Parent/Guardian (CLICK HERE ).
  
  Note:
  A) As per circular Nos. BC-16014/1/82-SC dt.06/08/1984 & BCD-1, D.O.12017/11/89-SCD(R.CELL) dt.09/01/1990 and 1465–BCW/MR–67/10 dt.30/04/2010 from the Government of West Bengal, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes of the states other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in educational institutions in West Bengal, unless they can produce a domicile certificate of 10-year residency issued by competent authority. Candidates provisionally selected under this category will have to submit the SC/ST certificate in their name at the time of admission, otherwise his/her admission may be denied.
  B) The reservation for OBC category in the admission process will be carried forward as per the order of Govt. of West Bengal, order no- 945-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18th May 2026.
  C) Candidates provisionally selected under OBC category should submit a valid NCL certificate (issued by competent authority) which should not be earlier than 18th May, 2026.
  D) OBC-A and OBC-B candidates from the States other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in Educational Institutions in West Bengal. Such students may get the benefit of reserve quota if they have domicile certificate of 10 years residency in West Bengal.
  E) Reservation under Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) will be as per notification no. 339-Edn (CS)/OM-74L/2023 dated 26th May, 2023 from Government of West Bengal.
  F) The EWS certificate of 2026- 27 financial year is only valid for admission in this academic session.
  G) Persons with 40% or more disability will only be considered for admission under PD category under RPD Act, 2016.
• Failure to appear at the verification/ admission on the specified date and time will lead to rejection of candidature without further reference to the candidate.
• FEES FOR ADMISSION: Rs. 2,160/- to be paid by cash/card/online.
• Commencement of Classes on 05/08/2026 tentatively.

• It is being brought to the notice of all concerned that Ragging is not only a social evil but also a penal offence. Any student/s indulging in ragging of any student/s including freshers during admission/interview and/or subsequently at the hostel or in the class or in the corridors or anywhere inside and outside of the campus, shall be severely dealt with on pain of punishment ranging from loss of academic year / loss of hostel boardership to expulsion from the University. Reporting to the nearest Police Station may also be done in addition to the above punishment. The University is to follow all directives of the “UGC REGULATION ON CURBING THE MENACE OF RAGGING IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, 2009 under the direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. • Moreover, selected students and his/her parent/guardian will be required to submit an Anti-Ragging Declaration .
• If a student cancels his/her admission, he/she may apply for refund of the fees. The fees will be refunded as per the D.O no.-F.2-71/2022 (CPP-II) dated 03/7/2025) by UGC. Refund of fees may take some time.
