Admission through JELET Counselling 2026

Notice for Admission through JELET Counselling 2026 for Lateral Entry to the 2nd Year of 4 year B.Tech. Course in
Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) / Elecetronics and Instrumentation Engineering(EIE) / Information Technology (IT)

The eligible candidates allotted seats through the JELET counselling 2026, at the University of Kalyani for admission to the Part II of 4 year B.Tech. programmes of ECE / EIE / IT are instructed to refer to the following schedule for document verification and admission.

• To complete the document verification process the students must carry:
  The following documents in original along with one photocopy of each document:
  • Provisional Allotment Letter & seat acceptance letter of JELET 2026.
  • Admit Card of JELET 2026.
  • Rank Card of JELET 2026.
  • Class-X Admit Card / Birth Certificate for verification of Date of Birth.
  • Mark sheet of Class-X Examination.
  • Mark sheets of all the Semester of Diploma course.
  • The candidate must have passed AICTE recognized course from a AITCE approved Institution.
  • Valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate issued by the Government of West Bengal/concerned authority, if applicable.
  • Duly filled in YES-up gradation form in WBJEEB prescribed format (if applicable).
• To complete the admission process the students must carry:
  • 2 passport size color photos.
  • The following documents in original along with one photocopy of each document:
    • Provisional Allotment Letter & seat acceptance letter of JELET 2026.
    • Admit Card of JELET 2026.
    • Rank Card of JELET 2026.
    • Class-X Admit Card / Birth Certificate for verification of Date of Birth.
    • Mark sheet of Class-X Examination.
    • Mark sheets of all the Semester Diploma Course.
    • The candidate must have passed AICTE recognized course from a AITCE approved Institution.
    • Valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate issued by the Government of West Bengal/concerned authority, if applicable.
    • Proof APAAR ID.
    • Aadhar Number.
  • Two Affidavits related to anti ragging compliance (both students copy and guardian's copy) – format attached in the Appendix I (may be submitted after admission).
  • The Medical Certificate for General Health, Eye and Blood Group (Original) – format attached in the Appendix II (may be submitted after admission).
  • Fee payable at the time of admission through online/digital mode – details mentioned in the Appendix III .
  All the candidates must carry mobile phone with the SIM number registered during application to WBJEEB to Receive OTP at the final stage of admission confirmation.

• Eligibility Criteria:
  The candidate must fulfill all the below mentioned eligibility criteria:
  • candidate must hold a valid merit rank in the JELET-2026
  • candidate must fulfill all the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions as stipulated by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, Govt. of West Bengal,
  • candidate must fulfill all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the Regulations for Different Programmes of the Faculty of Engineering Technology & Management, University of Kalyani for B.Tech programme.
• General Instructions:
  • All photocopies MUST be self-attested.
  • Student must pay the admission fee at the time of admission. If the payment is not made at the time of admission the candidature may be cancelled automatically without further information.
  • If at any stage of admission the information furnished by the candidate is found to be incomplete, false or incorrect, the University of Kalyani shall have full authority to cancel the admission without further notice.
  • University has limited Hostel seats. For admission to hostel the candidate has to submit physical copy of the duly filled in prescribed form to the DSW, KU. Mere application does not guarantee allotment of hostel seats.
