Admission to Master of Laws (LL.M.), 2026-2027

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the 2-year full time Master of Laws (L.L.M.) course for the academic session 2026-2027 in the Department of Commerce/Department of Life Long Learning & Extension, University of Kalyani, Nadia District, West Bengal.

• Total Seats: 18
  The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks in favour of the reserved categories shall be as per the Government of West Bengal Rules.
• Eligibility:
  Passed Bachelor of Law from any UGC recognized university.
  Candidates from foreign countries will be admitted based on their performance in Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
• Admission:
  There is no Entrance Examination. The merit for admission will be determined by the marks obtained in the Bachelor of Law examination. The total seats are 18, out of which 80% seats are for the Students of the University of Kalyani and 20% seats are for the Students of the other Universities. Out of seats allotted for K.U. Students, 50% is reserved for those who have Honours degree.

  A. Corporate Law,
  B. Constitutional Law
• Course Fees: Tuition Fees Rs. 30,000/- (Thirty Thousand) per Semester for Indian Citizens. The admission, examination and other fees will be at par with other regular courses of the university.

Application Fees:
Application fee is Rs. 400/- for General candidates & OBC Category and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidates, for differently able (PD) candidates Rs. 160/-.

• Passport size colour photograph of Candidate.
• Signature of Candidate.
• Self-attested photocopy of Bachelor of Law final Year Pass Mark Sheet.
  (If the final mark sheet is not consolidated, all mark sheets are in a single file.)
• Self-attested photocopy of SC/ST/OBC certificate if applicable obtained from Govt. of West Bengal only.
  (Certificate from other states will apply as General Candidate)
• Self-attested photocopy copy of PWD Certificate if applicable.
• In-Service Police Personnel Certificate from the competent authority.
