Admission to Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Program, 2026-27

• Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to M.F.A. under the Department of Visual Arts, University of Kalyani, Nadia District, West Bengal for the Academic Session 2026-2027.
• Seat Intake: 27 (Twenty-Seven).
  The reservation in seats and relaxationinthequalifyingmarks in favour of the reserved categories shall be as per the W.B. Govt. rules.
• Eligibility:
  Minimum qualification: Bachelor of Fine Arts / Visual Arts (B.F.A./B.V.A) - 4 years degree course from any U.G.C. recognized University or Institution.
  Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in or before 2024 are not eligible to apply.
• Admission Test (ONLINE) Procedure:
  Total Marks – 100
  • Candidates have to submit Portfolio (consisting of a minimum of 4 paintings) through email – 25 marks
    (Portfolio will be submitted only by the candidates eligible for Online Admission Test & Interview, the email ID and details regarding this submission will be informed at the time of publication of list of eligible candidates for Online Admission Test.)
  • Practical Interview – 50 marks
    (Original artworks to be shown during the course of the practical interview)
  • Theoretical Interview (through online link) – 25 marks
• Merit List:
  Preparation of Merit list: Merit list will be based on percentage of marks obtained in Bachelor of Fine Arts / Visual Arts (B.F.A./B.V.A.) and percentage of marks obtained in the Admission Test, giving equal weightage.
