Admission Under OBC Category 2026

Notice regarding Seeking Admission Under OBC Category (Academic Session 2026-27)

All candidates admitted or seeking admission under the OBC category for the academic session 2026–27 are hereby informed that, in view of Paragraph 25 of the judgment dated 12.08.2026 in MAT 1320 of 2026, Shreyasi Dhang vs. State of West Bengal & Ors., OBC certificates issued during the periods specified therein have been held void ab initio.

Accordingly, OBC certificates issued from 08.05.2025 to 18.05.2026 shall not be accepted for claiming OBC reservation.

Candidates claiming OBC reservation shall submit a valid fresh OBC certificate, wherever applicable, for consideration of their reservation claim.
