AsperNotificationNo.24-Edn (T) 10M-68/16 dated 19.01.2026, Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, online applications are invited for admission into MCA (1st year) against vacant seats for the year 2025-2026 as per the eligibility criteria stated below. The eligible and interested candidates may apply through the following online link along with softcopy of all testimonials (self-attested) listed below latest by 26th January, 2026 up to 11:00 P.M.

Eligibility Criteria

Whereas, the necessary guidelines for admission to MCA Programme in the academic session 2025-26 through the State Level Common Entrance Examination for the said programme has already been notified and published by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board;
Whereas, in the said guidelines it has been mentioned that candidates will take admission to the allotted University and Institutes after obtaining allotment by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board through the centralized counseling process;
Whereas, it has been observed that some seats are still vacant after the completion of such centralized allotment and admission process in different participating Universities and Institutes of the State offering MCA programme;
Existing norms of percentage of domicile students from other states, fulfilling all the eligibility criteria will be maintained and followed.
Now, therefore, it is clarified that on completion of the centralized counseling and admission process, the participating Universities and Institutes of the State may pursue the admission procedure in the MCA Programme in the Universities and Institutes as notified hereunder:
- The eligibility criteria for admission through decentralized counseling process for MCA Programme shall be the same as notified in the guidelines issued by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
- The admission for such MCA Programme must be made strictly on the basis of merit at the concerned Institution level.
- Candidates shall have to follow the norms as mentioned in the AICTE Approval Process Hand Book 2025-26.
- The cut-off date for completion of the decentralized counseling and admission at the respective participating Universities and Institutes shall have to follow the academic calendar of the concerned affiliating Universities for the academic year 2025-26.
