Notice for Decentralized Counselling and Residual Vacant Seat Admission for WBJEE 2026

DECENTRALIZED COUNSELLING AND RESIDUAL VACANCY SPOT ADMISSION FOR B.TECH. (1st year), 2026-27

As per Notification No. No. WBE/EX-66/2026 Dated-16th October2026, Higher Education Department, Technical Branch, Government of West Bengal, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB), online applications are invited for admission into B.Tech. 1st year against vacant seats for the year 2026-2027 as per the eligibility criteria stated below. The eligible and interested candidates may apply through the following online link along with soft copy of all testimonials (self-attested) listed below latest by 26th October, 2026 up to 02:00 P.M.

• • Participating candidates must be domiciled in West Bengal.
  • Participating candidates besides fulfilling all the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions as stipulated by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board in respect of the examination "WBJEE-2026" for admission to any such technical courses must have obtained a valid Merit Rank i.e., "GMR" in the WBJEE-2026.
  • Allotment shall be made strictly on the basis of general Merit and preference of a candidate.

  • Caste Certificate (original & xerox) (The OBC candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) are eligible for consideration as reserved candidates only. OBC candidates must produce an updated NCL certificate during counseling / admission. Admission information regarding OBC reservation and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) status for admission, vide memo no.-1037 (64)/Secy-BCW/ MR-33/2025[Pt. V], Dt.-20-05-2026 is available on the Board website.)
  • YES UPGRADATION/NO UPGRADATION form.
  • OCI certificate (Overseas Citizen of India) (original & xerox).
  • WB Domicile certificate as per clause nos. 3.4.1 and 3.4.2 of the Information Bulletin WBJEE 2026 (original & xerox).
  • PwD certificate (original & Xerox) [PWD certificate are to be issued any of the authorities as given in the order No.- 289-HF/ O/ PHP/ IR-05/ 2017 dated 29.08.2018 by the Government of West Bengal, Health & Family Welfare Department (PHP Branch).
  • TFW certificate (original & xerox)
  • EWS Certificate (original & xerox)
  • 1 copy photo
  Failure to provide any of the above documents will be considered as disqualification.
• Important Dates:

  Last date of Submission of online Application: Latest by	26th October, 2026 up to 11.59 p.m.
  Date for publication of Provisional Merit List	27th October 2026
  Date of Offline Counseling and Admission	28th October 2026 at 11.30 a.m.

N.B.:

• Counseling and Admission will be held on the same day
• Candidates will be called for counseling against 37 vacant seats. Number of such candidates (category-wise) will be announced at the time of Publication of Provisional Merit List.
