MSW Entrance Test, 2026 (Phase-III)

All applicants for the Master of Social Work (MSW) Course for the academic session 2026–27 are hereby informed that the Entrance Test will be held on 15/09/2026 (Tuesday) at Law College Durgapur, Rajbandh, NH-2, Durgapur- 713212.

• Reporting Time: 10:00 a.m.
• Written Test: 11:00am to 01:00pm (2 Hrs.)
• Viva / Interview: From 02:00 p.m. onwards
• Full Marks: 100 (Written Test: 70 and Viva/Interview: 30)

1. To assess the ambition and motivation of the candidates towards studying professional Social Work course as part of their future career.
2. To find out the events and avenues that have interested and enthused them to choose MSW Course as their livelihood.
3. To ascertain knowledge base and academic competency of the candidates towards studying this professional course through theoretical instruction and field practicum.

1. General knowledge on current regional, national and international affairs and events on social, economic, political and cultural fronts.
2. Knowledge base and understanding on general mathematics and common mathematical analysis, calculations and basic computer.
3. Awareness on, and concerns for, day-to-day affairs and current and up-to-date socio-economic realities.
4. Skills, competencies and intellectual abilities in narrating, describing, analyzing and explaining in English, various socio-economic problems and maladies in the contemporary society.
