The first merit list for admission to various undergraduate (Regular) courses of Patna University has been released on 08 June 2026. The names of the applicants included in the merit list can be viewed according to the following instructions:

1. Applicants (students) whose names appear in the merit list can check their names by visiting the university website: www.pup.ac.in and clicking on the "Login" menu.
2. Download the Offer Letter by clicking on the "Student Login" option.
3. Along with the Offer Letter, download the Admission Form in PDF format.
4. Visit the concerned college with the Offer Letter, Merit Letter, and all required documents (one photocopy of each document along with the originals) and complete the admission process before the last date mentioned in the Offer Letter.
5. If any student is not allotted a seat in a subject of their preference, they may, after a few days, use their ID and password to log in to the portal and exercise the option for a change in subject preference.
6. Applicants who select the "Freeze" option will not be considered in the next merit list.
7. Counseling and admission of students selected in the first merit list will be conducted from 09 June 2026 to 12 June 2026.
8. The second merit list for admissions to vacant seats will be released on 15 June 2026. Counseling and admission for students selected in the second merit list will take place between 16 June 2026 and 19 June 2026.
9. The third merit list for admissions to vacant seats will be released on 21 June 2026. Counseling and admission for students selected in the third merit list will take place between 23 June 2026 and 26 June 2026.
10. For admissions to undergraduate (Regular) courses, the Entrance Meet will be held on 01 July 2026 at the concerned college or department of Patna University.
11. For self-financed courses, the entrance examination for admissions will be conducted between 20 June 2026 and 22 June 2026. Admit cards can be downloaded from the student login on the university website. The examination result will be published on the university website on 25 June 2026. The first merit list will be released on 30 June 2026. Admission of students selected in the first merit list will take place in the concerned college between 01 July 2026 and 04 July 2026. The second merit list for remaining vacant seats will be released on 07 July 2026. Counseling in the concerned colleges will be conducted between 08 July 2026 and 11 July 2026 for seats remaining vacant after the Spot Round. The Spot Round Merit List will be released on 14 July 2026, and the Entrance Meet will be organized in the concerned colleges on 15 July 2026.
12. Counseling hours will be from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
13. All selected applicants must complete admission within the prescribed date and time. If a student fails to appear for counseling/admission on the scheduled date and time, their candidature for subsequent rounds will automatically be cancelled.
14. All college principals shall submit the validation reports received from the Validation In-Charge and Admission In-Charge to the office of the Proctor, Patna University, after completion of counseling.
15. A separate link will be sent to all principals for counseling and admission activities.
16. Applicants are advised to regularly check the Patna University website for updates.

Special Category Applicants

Sports Quota: Trial will be conducted on 30 June 2026 at the concerned college.

Fine Arts Applicants: Trial will be conducted on 02 July 2026 at the concerned college.

If seats remain vacant, an additional Spot Round will be conducted on 06 July 2026.

Staff Quota and Military Quota Admissions: Admissions will be conducted on 30 June 2026.

Application Correction Window

The application correction facility will remain open from 04 June 2026 to 06 June 2026. Applicants who need to make corrections in their application forms may do so during this period.
