Eligibility Criteria

A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects, namely:
- Physical Sciences
- Mathematics

Selection Criteria

The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made based on ranks obtained in the Telangana EAPCET-2025 under the Engineering stream (Including Special Quota seats) conducted by the Telangana Council for Higher Education.
In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the Telangana EAPCET-2025, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination (Intermediate or its Equivalent Examination) shall be taken into consideration. In case of a further tie, the age of the candidate shall be taken into consideration, and the older candidate shall be given preference.

Other Information

The guidelines issued by the Government of Telangana from time to time shall be followed scrupulously, including the reservations.
The University may send SMS to the applicants for the purposes related to counselling. Hence, the candidates are informed to mention their personal mobile numbers but not the mobile numbers of relatives, friends, net/online/xerox centers, etc.
20% of seats in B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech. (Food Technology) & B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science under the ICAR quota shall be filled up by ICAR through online counselling based on the ranks obtained in the CUET examination conducted at the national level.
In the event of the establishment of new colleges, such seats shall also be considered for filling up through this notification only.
The Counselling/Verification under special categories (PH, CAP, NCC & SPORTS) shall be held in the presence of the authorities concerned, and seats shall be allotted as per the priorities indicated by the officers concerned.
If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat before closure of the admission process, the entire fee collected from the student shall be refunded in full after deducting Rs. 2,000/- (@ Rs. 10,000/- for Special quota) as processing fee.
Any cancellation/withdrawal of admissions after the closure of the admission process, the candidate shall forfeit the entire fees (except the caution deposits). In addition, the candidate has to pay Rs. 2,000/- (@ Rs. 10,000/- for Special quota) as processing fee.
The candidate who secures a seat shall submit the certificates in Original along with the prescribed fees at the time of counselling itself.
Candidates shall have to attend the counselling at their own cost only.
During the counselling process, the seat availability position shall be updated at the end of the day and hosted on the University�s website: www.pjtau.edu.in. The candidates are requested to go through the above information and accordingly attend the counselling. No separate communication shall be sent in this regard.
The University does not guarantee any employment to the candidates.
The applicant is informed that mere submission of an online application and attending counselling do not guarantee the allotment of a seat.
Candidates are required to read the PROSPECTUS thoroughly before applying.
In case the information furnished or the certificates uploaded by the candidates are found to be false, the University shall take appropriate action against the individuals concerned.
The parents and candidates shall regularly visit the University website (www.pjtau.edu.in) for any further information.
Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) is the only Agricultural University in the State. The University has not accorded any affiliation to any private colleges in Telangana.
The University is not responsible for the information provided on other websites.
Parents and Students are informed that the admissions are purely based on merit and guidelines of the University, and as such, they are requested not to rely on any middlemen/persons/consultants who try to mislead the students in securing admission into PJTAU under any quota.
All the regular and Special Quota seats shall be filled through the combined counselling only.
