A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects namely:
i) Physical Sciences
ii) Biological Sciences

A candidate for admission under general category to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course, must have passed in each of the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects (47.5% for SC/ST/PH category i.e., 5% less than that prescribed for the general category) at intermediate or its equivalent examination.

The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in the Telangana EAPCET-2025 under the agriculture stream [Including Special quota seats in B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science, B.Tech. (Food Technology) and B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture courses] conducted by the Telangana Council for Higher Education.

In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the Telangana EAPCET-2025, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination (Intermediate or its equivalent) shall be taken into consideration. In case of a further tie, the age of the candidate shall be taken into consideration and the older candidate shall be given preference.

The guidelines issued by the Government of Telangana from time to time shall be followed scrupulously, including the reservations.

The University may send SMS to the applicants for the purposes related to counselling. Hence, the candidates are informed to mention their personal mobile numbers but not the mobile numbers of relatives, friends, net/online/xerox centers, etc.

20% of seats in B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science, B.Tech. (Food Technology) and B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture under ICAR quota shall be filled up by ICAR through the online counselling based on ranks obtained in CUET (UG) ICAR 2025 examination conducted at the national level.

In the event of the establishment of new colleges, such seats shall also be considered for filling up through this notification only.

The Counselling/Verification under special categories (PH, CAP, NCC & SPORTS) shall be held in the presence of the authorities concerned, and seats shall be allotted as per the priorities indicated by the officers concerned.

If the admitted candidate cancels/withdraws his/her seat before the closure of admission process, the entire fee collected from the student shall be refunded in full after deducting Rs. 2,000/- (@ Rs. 10,000/- for Special quota) as processing fee.

Any cancellation/withdrawal of admissions after the closure of the admission process, the candidate shall forfeit the entire fees (except the caution deposits). In addition, the candidate has to pay Rs. 2,000/- (@ Rs. 10,000/- for Special quota) as processing fee.

The candidate who secures a seatshould submit the certificatesin Original along with the prescribed fees (in cash) at the time of counselling itself.

During the counselling process, the seat availability position shall be updated at the end of the day and hosted on the University’s website - www.pjtau.edu.in. The candidates are requested to go through the above information hosted on the website and accordingly attend the counselling. No separate communication shall be sent in this regard.

The University does not guarantee any employment to the candidates.

The applicant is informed that mere submission of an online application and attending counselling do not guarantee the allotment of a seat.

Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) is the only Agricultural University in the State. The University has not accorded any affiliation to any private colleges in Telangana.

P. V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU) is the only University in the State offering B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. Degree courses and there are no affiliated private colleges under this University.
