Online applications are invited for admission to the following programmes against the available vacant seats: M.A. in Bengali, M.A. in English, M.A. in History, M.A. in History in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, M.A. in Kudmali, M.A. in Music and Performing Arts, M.A. in Political Science in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), M.A. in Philosophy in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), M.A. in Santali, M.Sc. in Geography, M.Sc. in Mathematics, M.Sc. in Nutrition and Public Health, Integrated Master of Library and Information Science for the academic session 2026-2028, and PG Diploma in Kudmali Language and Culture, PG Diploma in Santali Dance and Music, Diploma in Santali Dance and Music, Diploma in Jhumur for the academic session 2026-2027, against the available vacant seats.
Candidates who had applied earlier but did not take admission are required to apply again.

Online Application Procedure:
The candidates will fill in the specified Application Form only through online portal of university website (www.srcmujhargram.ac.in ). They must complete all the steps e.g., personal details, academic details, uploading photo and signature.

The students of all universities in India and abroad are eligible to fill up forms for admission to PostGraduate Courses and Professional Courses.

In accordance with the order No. 638-Edn(U)/HED-12016(21)/5/2025-UNV SEC-Dept. of HE, Dated: 18.05.2026 of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal, the University authority decides to waive the application fee. They have to produce the original Mark Sheets of graduation at the time of verification to be notified later on.

The eligible candidates will pay their prescribed fees online through the official online portal. The link for the payment of admission fees directly from the Admission Portal of the University will be notified in due course.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Post-Graduate and other Courses:
The candidates passed out in the year 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 are eligible for admission to Post-Graduate Courses in Bengali, English, History, History in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), Kudmali, Philosophy in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), Political Science in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), Santali, Integrated Master of Library and Information Science, Geography, Mathematics, and Nutrition and Public Health.

In case of M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, M.A. in Music and Performing Arts, PG Diploma in Kudmali Language and Culture, PG Diploma in Santali Dance and Music, Diploma in Santali Dance and Music and Diploma in Jhumur, there is NO YEAR RESTRICTION.

Who Can Apply:

The candidates appearing in UG 6th semester (Single Major/Honours), 2026 (under NEP/CBCS) may apply, provided that they have cleared all semester examinations upto 5th semester with valid eligibility at the time of application.
The candidates already passed 3 years UG programme under CBCS(Hons) or any other programme having valid eligibility may also apply, provided that they have cleared all the previous semester examinations with valid eligibility at the time of application.
The applicants, who have completed the qualifying degree, will have to fill in the application form with their SGPA in each semester separately in case of semester system. The applicants who are appearing in the final semester of the qualifying degree or awaiting their final semester results, will have to fill in the application form with their SGPA in each semester separately up to the last semester passed. In case of annual system, the percentage (%) of marks (aggregate of Part-I, II & III) has to be filled up. All the applicants have to produce all the original marksheets, certificates and identity proof at the time of verification.

Seat reservation rules will be followed as per the orders of the Government of West Bengal and the Department of Higher Education.

Selection Process for Admission:

The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit.
- For Semester System: Average SGPA x 10, where average SGPA = (Total of all SGPA obtained in the qualifying degree) / No. of Semesters completed.
- For Annual System: Aggregate % of Marks (Part-I, II, III) of the qualifying degree.
If the No. of UG candidate(s) is less than the No. of seats in Integrated Master of Library and Information Science, the seats will be filled up by the PG candidates and vice-versa. Similarly, if the No. of candidates of PG category reserved for SRMUJ is less than the No. of seats, the seats will be filled up by the candidates of other universities and vice-versa.
The enlisted candidates in Provisional Merit Lists of M.A. in Music and Performing Arts will have to appear at the Interview / Viva-voce for final selection. The candidates selected through the Interview/Viva-Voce shall be eligible for admission to the respective programmes.
Online provisional admission will be done through the university admission portal.
The verification of testimonials and other documents for provisionally admitted students will be held on the date to be notified by the university authority on university website. The admission of a student will be cancelled, if he/she remains absent from classes for consecutive ten days from the date of commencement of classes without any intimation to the university authority.
All the provisionally admitted applicants are required to be present on the specified date and to produce all the originals of uploaded Certificates, Mark Sheets and testimonials at the time of physical verification of admission. The final semester marksheet should be produced at the time of Verification. In case an applicant cannot produce the final semester marksheet at the time of verification the applicant’s candidature will be liable to be cancelled.
Applicants are to follow the notices on the Website of Sadhu Ramchand Murmu University of Jhargram all the time.
The student will not indulge in any act of ragging. If he/she is found guilty of any aspect of ragging, he/she will be punished as per provisions of the UGC regulations and/or as per law in force.
The admitted students are to attend at least 75% of the total classes held in all Semesters; otherwise, he/she will not be allowed to fill in his/her form for examination.
