Important Dates:
Schedule for Admission Process for Research Programs for July, 2026 Batch. Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
AS per UGC norms and as per the PhD ordinance 2024 of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University.

How to Apply:
To apply for the Ph.D. program (July, 2026 Batch) of the University, eligible candidates may apply online using credit/debit card for payment or download and print the application form available on our website with Rs. 1500- non-refundable fee. (see: List of enclosures as per clause ‘L’) and submit the application offline. The applicants may download the application from the University website, print and fill it, may submit through mail (research@subharti.org) or post to Assistant Registrar (Academic), PhD Section, First Floor, Security Office, Gate No. 6, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Subhartipuram, NH-58, MEERUT-250005 along with a cheque/bank draft drawn in favour of “SAWMI VIVEKANAND SUBHARTI UNIVERSITY”.
Incomplete applications or applications received without fee and all required enclosures are liable to be rejected / may not be processed.
Important Note: Please use separate application forms to apply for admission in two or more Departments.

Date, Time, and Venue for Ph.D. Entrance Test:
The Ph.D. Entrance Test will be held on 12/07/2026 (Sunday), 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon online as well as offline mode at campus of the University. The candidate may opt as per his/her convenience.

Scheme of Examination:
The Ph.D. Entrance Test on 12/07/2026 would consist of following parts; The syllabi of the General Aptitude Test and the Subject Specific Tests for each Department can be seen on the concerned web pages on the University website.
Important Note:

• General Aptitude Test common to all applicants, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
• Subject Specific Tests to examine basic fundamental knowledge in the subject, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon for candidates.

Provisional Selection list:
The selection shall be made strictly on merit for which 70% marks shall be considered from written examination and 30% based on performance in interview. Minimum cut off shall be determined subject wise based on the number of seats available. Provisional Selection List along with procedure for admissions, will be notified through individual registered mail to the selected candidates only/or on university website. Provisionally selected candidates will be required to take admission by notified date by depositing first semester fee of Rs. 75,000/-, including Course work and registration fee + Rs. 25,000/- + Caution money (refundable) + Rs. 17,500/- one-time charges [Total Rs. 1,17,500/- (Rs. One Lakh Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred only)] failing which vacant seats may be allotted to wait listed candidates without any further notice/reminder. After submission of fee online, the scholar will be required to send transaction ID to the Research & Development Cell by mail research@subharti.org. The procedure for submission of fee shall be communicated with provisional selection letter. The list of wait listed candidates will be displayed on the University website and/or Notice Boards of the university and the selection letters shall be sent by individual mail only to those who will be selected from the wait list.
Candidates provisionally admitted to the Ph.D. program will be required to fill admission and enrollment forms with details of their proposed field of research within 03 days after their admission, and submit the same with the coordinator PhD in the office of the Director, Research & Development Cell. The Enrollment Form will be available on the University website.

Selection Procedures:
Selection to the Ph.D. programs would be based on performance in the Written Test and interview.
