General Guidelines
No candidate shall be eligible for admission after a lapse of more than Five Years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. The year of admission will not be taken into account while calculating 5 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
Every applicant must fulfil the eligibility criteria as laid down for each course.
The Graduation degree course must be UGC recognised and must be of at least three years. For degrees awarded by Foreign Universities, AIU guidelines (or the relevant regulatory body) for equivalence procedures will be followed, and the candidate will be required to submit the relevant documents at the time of admission. For an undergraduate law degree awarded by a foreign university, the candidate will be required to submit an equivalence certificate from the Bar Council of India (BCI). These documents must be submitted during the admission process. Candidates holding a degree with CGPA/GPA/DGPA, etc., must have the equivalent percentage as prescribed in the eligibility criteria laid down for each course.
If the final degree result is not published at the time of application, percentage of marks for eligibility will be calculated on the basis of the aggregate of 1st to 4th Semester or Part I and Part II or Year 1 and Year 2 (Applicable for 3-year degree courses) OR 1st to 6th Semester or Part I to Part III or Year 1 to Year 3 (Applicable for 4-year degree courses) OR 1st to 8th Semester or Part-I to Part-IV or Year 1 to Year 4 (Applicable for 5-Year degree courses) and the candidate is required to pass in all papers.
The Minimum Credit requirements for eligibility for final admission are 120 credits in UG Courses. Where the credits are not assigned, a minimum total marks required will be 1800.
If, at the time of admission, the final degree mark sheet cannot be produced, the admission will be provisional. The student must produce the final degree mark sheet by 15 October, 2026; failing to do so, the admission is liable to be cancelled.
If a student, who is admitted provisionally, fails to fulfil the eligibility requirements regarding the required aggregate marks and the Minimum Credit requirements or the Total Marks (whichever applicable, as mentioned in Point E) in graduation after the publication of the final result, his/her admission will be cancelled.
If the admission is cancelled due to the above-mentioned reasons, fees will be refunded as per the UGC Fee Refund Policy.
The University reserves the right to reject the candidature and/or cancel the application/admission at any stage if an applicant fails to fulfil the above conditions.
If it is found that information submitted by the candidate is not true, admission will be cancelled, and fees will not be refunded.
Admission will be based on the marks obtained in the admission test.
Reservation for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): A Maximum of 10% of the total seats for each course are reserved for the EWS category. This provision is in accordance with government guidelines. The candidate/s who opt for this category will be required to upload the EWS certificate issued by the competent authority. Without the certificate, the application will be cancelled. Candidates are advised to review the detailed government notification before applying for this category.
