Spot Admission to Vacant Seats in through CUET and Non-CUET Mode
Academic Session 2026–27

In continuation of the earlier Admission Notifications issued by Tripura University for admission to various Programmes for the Academic Session 2026–27, it is hereby notified that a final opportunity is being provided to eligible candidates for admission against the remaining vacant seats in the programmes mentioned below.

The admission shall be conducted through Spot Admission-cum-Counselling against the vacant seats available in the respective programmes and categories both against CUET and NON-CUET MODE.

Important Notice Regarding Category-wise Vacancies:
Candidates are hereby informed that the total number of vacant seats indicated against a programme does not necessarily mean that seats are available in all categories.

In certain programmes, vacancies may be available only against specific reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS or other applicable categories, while there may be no vacancy under the UR category.

Accordingly, candidates are advised to contact the concerned Department/Centre and ascertain the availability of seats under the category to which they belong before filling up the online application form.

The concerned Departments/Centres shall provide the necessary information regarding the category-wise availability of vacant seats to eligible candidates.

Candidates shall themselves ensure that a seat is available under their applicable category before submitting the application. Submission of an online application shall not confer any right to participate in admission against a category in which no vacancy exists.

Important Instructions:

• The present admission process shall be treated as the final/last round of admission against the vacant seats for the Academic Session 2026–27, subject to availability of seats.
• Applications shall be invited from eligible candidates under Non-CUET modes, wherever applicable to the respective programme.
• Candidates must fulfil the programme-specific eligibility criteria prescribed in the Tripura University e-Prospectus 2026–27.
• Before submitting the online application, candidates must contact the concerned Department/Centre and ascertain the availability of a vacant seat under their respective category.
• Candidates belonging to UR and SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS or other reserved categories should particularly verify whether the vacant seat in the concerned programme is available against their respective category.
• Where a vacancy exists only against a particular reserved category, admission shall be made only against that category in accordance with the applicable Reservation Policy of Tripura University.
• No candidate shall have a claim for conversion of a reserved-category vacancy into a UR vacancy merely on the ground that the candidate has submitted an application or is otherwise eligible for the programme.
• The Departmental Admission Committee shall conduct the Spot Admission-cumCounselling strictly against the vacant seats available in the respective programme and category and in accordance with the Tripura University Reservation Policy.
• Candidates shall be required to produce their original certificates, mark sheets, category certificate, identity proof and other relevant documents at the time of counselling for verification.
• Candidates seeking admission to programmes involving Skill Test/Audition/Physical Test, wherever applicable, shall be required to appear for the prescribed test as determined by the concerned Department.
• Mere submission of an online application shall not confer any right to admission or counselling. Admission shall be strictly subject to availability of the seat under the applicable category, merit, eligibility, verification of documents and fulfilment of all prescribed conditions.
• Candidates who have already been admitted to a programme in Tripura University during the Academic Session 2026–27 shall not be permitted to seek admission to another programme under this notification unless permitted under the applicable University rules.
• The University reserves the right to withdraw, modify or revise the number of vacancies indicated above, if required, based on the actual position of seats at the time of counselling.
• The decision of the Departmental Admission Committee/University Competent Authority regarding admission shall be final, subject to the applicable rules and regulations.
• Candidates are advised to regularly check the Tripura University website and Admission Portal for any further information or instructions.
