FYUGP Exit Rules & NEP Guidelines Notice

It is hereby notified for information of all concerned that students enrolled in the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUG) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 are eligible to submit their intent for exit from the programme after completion of the 3rd year and obtain a Bachelor's Degree, as per the NEP Rules and Regulations of Tripura University, subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:

  1. A student who has successfully cleared all papers from the 1st to 6th Semester, fulfilled the minimum requirement of 122 credits, and successfully completed the Internship Course (Code: INTR) carrying 4 credits, shall be eligible to apply for Exit. Such students shall be awarded a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), or other applicable Bachelor's Degree, as per the National Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes.


  2. A student who has successfully cleared all papers from the 1st to 4th Semester, fulfilled the minimum requirement of 80 credits, and successfully completed the Internship Course (Code: INTR) carrying 4 credits, may also opt for Exit, . Such students shall be awarded a Diploma in Science , Diploma in Arts , Diploma in Commerce, or other applicable Diploma, as per the National Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes.
  3. Students opting for Exit may also apply for Provisional Certificate on payment of the prescribed fee, subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria specified in Clause 1 or Clause 2, as applicable.
  4. Applications for the Exit option shall be submitted through the Samarth Portal after publication of the 6th Semester/4th semester results and within the stipulated period to be notified by the competent authority from time to time, subject to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria mentioned above.
  5. Students are allowed to re-enter into the same programme of study in which s/he has been enrolled in the Odd Semester (3/5/7). However total duration for completing the Programme is 7 years.
