Notification for Lateral Admission against Resultant Vacant Seats in the 3rd Semester UG Programme under NEP 2020

NOTIFICATION FOR LATERAL ADMISSION AGAINST RESULTANT VACANT SEATS
IN THE 3^RD SEMESTER UG PROGRAMME UNDER NEP 2020

In compliance with the University decision regarding adoption of the NEP 2020 framework for Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit, applications are hereby invited from eligible candidates for the lateral admission against the resultant vacant seats in the 2nd Year (3rd Semester) of the Undergraduate Programme in Agriculture for the academic session 2026-27.

The resultant vacant seats are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

• The applicant must be pursuing the same degree programme in Agriculture in any ICAR enlisted State Agricultural University (SAU), Central Agricultural University (CAU) or other recognised institute, and must be eligible for lateral entry in accordance with the NEP 2020 framework.
• The applicant, except those belonging to SC/ST and PWD categories, must have passed the Madhyamik/Secondary (10th) Examination with at least 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and PWD categories must have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate in the Madhyamik/Secondary (10Oth) Examination.
• The applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary (H.S) or equivalent examination, irrespective of the Board, with the following minimum qualifications:
  Genera/OBC Category: At least 60% marks in aggregate and at least 60% marks each in Physies, Chemistry and BiologylAgriculture/Horticulture.
  
  SC/ST and PWD Categories: At least 50% marks in aggregate and at least 50% marks each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agriculture/Horticulture.
• The candidate must have passed all courses of the 1st and 2nd Semesters of the UG Programme in Agriculture in the first attempt, with a minimum CGPA of 7.5.

Submission of Application:
Eligible candidates are invited to submit their applications in a plain paper to the Deputy Registrar citing the above notification the University Admission Mail Id: ubkvlateral@gmail.com within 21 (twenty one) days from the date of publication of this notification.

The candidates must attach self-attested copies of the following required documents with the written application:

• Madhyamik/Secondary (10th) Mark Sheet;
• Higher Secondary (H.S.)/Equivalent Mark Sheet;
• Mark Sheets/Grade Cards of the 1st and 2nd Semesters;
• Proof of CGPA/academic performance;
• Category Certificate, wherever applicable; and
• No objection Certificate from Dean for Pursing the same Degree from 3r semester to Utar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya.

Candidates are advised to ensure that all information furnished in the application are correct and authentic. Submission of an application does not confer any right to admission. Admission shall be subject to scrutiny of eligibility, verification of original documents, recognition of credits and approval of the competent authority of the University. For multiple application (more than nos. of available vacancies) merit list will be prepared based on 80% of CGPA achieved in 2nd gemester and 20% of H.S. or equivalent 10+2 marks.
