Candidates with a valid JECA-2025 rank are invited to attend a spot decentralized counseling to be held on 28/01/2026 at 12:00 noon at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Kalyani, for admission in the available vacant seats of Part-I 1st semester of MCA programme (2025-2026) of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The candidates must bring the following documents to complete the admission process if selected during the counseling

1. Passport-size colour photos
2. The following documents are in the original, along with one photocopy of each document:
a) Admit Card of WB JECA 2025
b) Rank Card of WB JECA 2025
c) Class-Xth Admit Card / Birth Certificate for verification of Date of Birth
d) Mark-sheet of Class-Xth Examination
e) Mark-sheet of Class-XIIth Examination
f) Mark-sheet of all semesters of Bachelor degree
g) Valid SC/ST/PWD/OBC-A(NCL)/OBC-B(NCL)/EWS certificates issued by the competent authorities, if applicable. OBC-A/OBC-B candidates must produce an updated NCL certificate as per the cutoff date mentioned in WBJEEB website
3. Fee of Rs. 23510/- (1st semester tuition fee of Rs. 20,000/- and additional fees of Rs. 3,510/-) payable at the time of admission (if selected) through debit/credit card or UPI

Candidates will be admitted on the spot strictly based on merit as per the JECA-2025 rank.

Provisional number of vacant seats: 11 (General – 4, SC – 1, ST – 2, OBC-B – 2, EWS – 2)

Eligibility: Graduate or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline of a UGC recognized University/ Institute or AICTE recognized B.E./ B. Tech/ BCA of a University/ Institute. Candidates must have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education. Candidates must secure 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST candidates) at each level of education. However, candidates without a Computer Science background (i.e., without BCA/B.Sc. in Computer Science (Hons.)/B.Sc. in Information Technology (Hons.)/ B.E. or B.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering /B.E. or B.Tech. in Information Technology, or equivalent degree) have to attend an additional bridge course to complete the 2-year MCA degree as per the norms of the university.
